This is literally as close as you can get to watchman without climbing it. Right in front and a bluebird family lives here! A one min walk to bathrooms which are clean and neat. Had cell service with Google fi. Felt very comfortable.

The campground is well laid out and peaceful. The location to ease to access the shuttle was very nice. The grounds and restrooms were very clean and maintained. We enjoyed our weekend very much.

Thanks for not allowing generators. Who wants to listen to those while camping? Bathrooms, grounds always nice and clean

Think long and hard before reserving any site near the group campground adjacent to D Loop. We had 3 nights at D20 (a lovely site) and bailed after 2. The noise was ridiculous. When a D Loop camper asked a group to be quiet, someone yelled, "We're not at a hotel!" Saw numerous other campers left after only 1 or 2 nights of a longer reservation. Never saw a campground host. Ranger does a driverthrough each night in the early evening. That's it. The "Whoo Hoo!" crowd has the run of the place. Did walk around the loop during the "festivities" and it was much quieter on the other side. If I were to go back, I'd probably get a walk in site in the F loop.No showers, not even allowed a solar heated shower allowed. Local shower just outside the gate is ridiculously pricey. C'mon, NPS-- if Bryce can give you 8 minutes for $3.50, so can Zion.

Had a campsite on D loop. It was a site close the group area and one night was extremely noisy. The rest of the stay was peaceful. Great access to trails and restrooms were close by.

Being walking distance to the Watchman trail was great and allowed for a quick hiking trip right when we arrived.

Amazing. Just wish they had showers. But they are available with a short walk outside the park.

First time in Watchman in 50+ years.

It is well maintained and has a stunning view. The campsites are separated enough to have some form of privacy. You are also close to all the scenery and possible hikes you could want to do. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone visiting Zion to consider staying at Watchman Campsite!

Tent camping at Loop D was a great experience: a nice quiet place with all you need, and a wonderful sun-lit scenery in the morning.

Perfect place to visit Zion Canyon.

We tent camped in Loop D20 in the middle of June and LOVED it. If we ever come back to Zion we will stay in this campground. We were far enough away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy quiet mornings and nights (the back of the site is just nature- no camp sites behind you). I know others said the group sites were loud and noisy, but we did not have that experience. Not too far from the bathrooms, which were clean, although sometimes busy bc you share them with the group sites (lots of 20 somethings doing beauty routines at night, which was a little annoying bc we just needed to brush our teeth and take out contacts!). We could walk to the amphitheater at night for the ranger programs, which were all pretty fabulous. If you are thinking of bring bikes BRING THEM!!! Our kids rode all over the campground (between our site and MIL's site). We also biked the Pa'rus Trail, which was fabulous!!! Our kids wanted to bike it again the next day! You can walk/bike from campground to the town of Springdale and get firewood/camp supplies/dinner. We were there 3 nights/2 days and I would not do less than that. Take advantage of the shuttle! We took it anywhere we could not walk/bike. We did the Riverside Walk up to the Narrows (we couldn't get in the water bc the water was too fast/high). This trail was VERY crowded. We also hiked the Watchman Trail- Highly recommend! Our kids (13, 11, 9) did it without any trouble. My MIL is 71 and it was hard for her, but she did it! The views are great and there's a weep on the trail that's very cool. We started the trail early in the morning and hiked mostly in the shade on the way up. The sun was hitting us on the way back down, but we had our backs to it, so it wasn't too bad. We did the Lower Emerald Pools. It was neat, but the kids were tired and so maybe not as amazing as I needed it to be. We saw California Condors at the Big Bend shuttle stop!! Stop at the Hanging Gardens- short and steep, but amazing!

Great campsite and next to the visitor centre which has buses running every 5-6 minutes so no need to move around in the car which is excellent

I stayed in the tent only loop. The sites are relatively private and the campground was very quiet.

Our campsite was on the south side with an amazing view of The Watchman. We were very close to one of the restrooms that was unfortunately closed for the winter, but the next one was still pretty close and convenient. Minor inconvenience aside, visiting in winter was great. No crowds, great views with the snow, and only a handful of neighbors in the campground. We'll happily come back and stay here again.

Site D20 was amazing! The site backed up to the open space towards a mountain and offered more space for the kids to explore

Bathroom faculty was a close walk and it was super clean

Site had a nice setup with a picnic table and fire pit

Liked the location, proximity to the park and the town. Busy on weekends and holidays, but not too noisy. I thought that the campground lacks water spigots since the two available near bathrooms were often occupied by people washing dishes.
@JeffreyD959 · Camped on Aug 30, 2021 at Campsite #D20
Good, clean campsite, great view, plenty of deer visits, has shade on certain sites but plenty of ants but overall it's been a blast!
@HenrietteH712 · Camped on Jun 24, 2021 at Campsite #D20
Best toilet facilities, I have ever been on. Very clean, must be new. We had site D20 which had a great view to a mountain and one could walk to the Visitor Center.
@PatW265 · Camped on Apr 29, 2021 at Campsite #D20
We were in the D loop, which was entirely tents. No camper trailers. The restrooms are fairly new with a washbasin for dishes, but no showers.
5-10 minute walk to the visitor center and trams.

If you're going in summer, suggest you get a site with a good amount of trees for shade.

Nice clean and well maintained camp. The deer came through the camp several times. The kids enjoyed exploring the hills behind us. Great overall experience.
