We had a bad experience with one of the hosts. Our first night we were admittedly a bit loud, but were all in bed for sure by 1030, missing quiet hours probably by 20-30 minutes. No music, just laughing and drinking. The next evening a host came by and told us they had some noise complaints. We apologized and assured her we wouldn’t cause anymore trouble. We didn’t argue. After we apologized she sort of threatened us with law enforcement if there were any more problems, said she didn’t believe us on how late we stayed up.
Later that evening some park rangers came by with their lights on while we were sitting by the fire just chatting to give us a warning. Seemed over the top and could have been handled a lot better.
The good thing is the sites aren’t crowded on top of each other which is very nice!!
Cons: The absence of showers especially for such a developed site. Adding additional shade structures at sites in particular that do not have trees or baby trees. Was 104 degrees f the days we were there and we were tent camping, so between the hours of 11-6 staying at the site was not pleasing or all that bearable.
Otherwise was a nice campsite with nearby amenities and easy access to the park. Just watch out for the yellow jackets and the squirrels and deer that will demolish your tent if you leave any foodstuffs inside. They’re ruthless!
