The campground is very beautiful and quiet. The view from came site is fantastic. The mountains are just right there. I like that the tent area are gravel, very neat and easy to clean up. Toilets are also clean. Walkable distance to the visitor center shuttle. The three days we were there, it was very windy at night, maybe due to the canyon geography. The wind made it colder at night, and a lot of noise with the tent. It didn't bother me. But it will be nice to bring ear plugs, warmer sleeping bag, and extra layers.

Heated bathrooms were a pleasant surprise! Pay showers are nearby if needed. Loved the deer in camp and proximity to the visitor's center and canyon shuttle.

We had a great time at the campground in Loop D! We were there for 4 days/3 nights. The location is wonderful - it's a short walk over the entrance bridge to the store where you can get firewood, food, and just about any other snack or tool you might need. The prices were reasonable. The rental places there were also great - we rented bikes for a day and there is also a place you can shower ($4/5 minutes). The cafe has coffee, smoothies, wifi, and limited indoor and outdoor seating. The brewery also has indoor and outdoor seating and was a great spot for food post-hiking. We had moderate cell service from Tmobile and Verizon in the campground. The campground bathrooms were clean and there was an outside spigot that was useful for washing feet and larger non-food items. We appreciated that there were recycling containers (just past the campground entrance), particularly for small propane containers. Deer came through the campground regularly and didn't bother anyone. The walk to the shuttle stop was also short and made it easy to catch the first shuttle in the morning.

Great campground but stop allowing people to use their generators especially at peak times. There is no reason their desire to have a full battery should ruin the experience for all those around them.

Excellent experience. Need a minimum of two nights to see the park. We stayed for six nights and did almost everything. Shuttle bus system works great. Only had one night of semi-noisy camping neighbors.

The Watchman campground is very nice with excellent facilities and access to Zion’s visitor’s center and the town of Springdale. However, avoid holiday weekends like the plague! Too many Southern Californians flock to Zion with no camping etiquette, regard for others, or respect for guidelines regarding quiet hours or site group size. Also, the cannabis culture, as usual, does not believe other state’s laws regarding pot or federal laws regarding pot apply to them. They stink up the entire campground. There was also zero enforcement by park staff. That’s great news for idiots and potheads, bad news for families who want to enjoy the great outdoors.

Watchman Campground in Zion NP was really great. The sites are not huge, but I had no problem pulling my camper van into the tent loop. I loved that the RVs and tent sites were separate, as it kept the campground quiet at night. It is a beautiful setting, and so close to the visitor's center and the town of Springdale. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone wanting to explore Zion, but make your reservations early!
