If you're staying at Watchman Campground in Zion Canyon, I highly recommend getting a permit for Angels Landingit's an unforgettable experience. Also, don't miss out on the Canyon Overlook Trail and the epic Rock Trail. Both are absolutely worth it!

Site C21 was a beatiful site. The spacing between your neighbors is just enough. Restrooms were clean.

Absolutely beautiful view from the campground, and an easy walk to the visitor's center made catching shuttles easy without having to deal with parking. Also, an easy stroll to the river. Facilities Well-maintained. Our one complaint was that the staff did not enforce quiet hours and we had neighbors playing music loudly well past 11:00.

This was a really good year. This was the 8th or 9th time staying in Zion NP over the last 30 years. There was less noise overall, other than the construction equipment, which I understand. It might be nice if the OSHA required backup beep, was a bit more friendly but I realize I am asking a lot for that to change. The new shuttles are a pleasure to be in. I do miss the better views from the older shuttle, but these are so much nicer to ride. Weeping rock is missed, but Rangers took the time to explain the issues which was very welcome. So the park services knows, it would be nice to dress up the shuttle parking area and general maintenance area along the route to the Watchman trail. Really it was a good trip, with good weather and generally nice conversations with other visitors.

Very nice campground. The bathroom were ok, not very clean, by the 3rd day the woman's handicap stall was the only one with toilet paper, by the 4th day, the day we left there was no toilet paper. Good thing we always travel with a couple of rolls.

We camped one night and our site was very private and quiet. It was wonderful to be right in Zion National Park surrounded by nature and be up early to enjoy hiking the trails.

There is nothing like sitting in camp and watching the sun set over the Watchman mountains. Emerald Pools has always been a favorite; this year is better than last. Use shuttle stop 4, not 6, which is a hot mess of people over a single-track trail until the bridge at stop 5 opens back up. Look outside the canyon and outside the National Park for other destinations. Lower Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, is two hours away and worth the trip. Corral Pink Sand Dune State Park should be on your list. Returning to our Watchman Campsite was always worth it.

Nice campground and facilities. No supplies available inside the park so unless you want to wait an hour + getting back in the park through the understaffed entrance station stock up before w firewood etc... Btw if you have dogs they're virtually allowed nowhere, can't even drive on their precious scenic drive even after the shuttles stop running which dogs are not allowed on.

Stayed at 2 different sites and both were spaced well apart from other sites and had amazing views. The whole campsite is within walking distance of the shuttle stop at the visitor center which makes it nice since parking fills up fast. The campground was clean, but dont even try using stakes for your tent due to the rocky ground, just make sure you have some gear or rocks inside to weigh it down.

Beautiful park and campground. Flush toliets are always a bonus. The shuttle bus system makes it feel a lot like Disneyland, but it does work.

I have stayed at Watchman campground over several decades and although my overall experience with the campsite was good there was an issue with excessively loud music coming from a nearby hotel that was having an outdoor event several times over several days. I believe this to be located at 281 Zion Park Blvd and at the Cliffrose Springdale, Curio Collection by Hilton. The events that were held there that are directly across from Loop A and the Virgin River were horribly inappropriate and negatively affected all of Watchman Campground. NPS should be involved in determining how to prevent this issue. Being involved in real estate I would think the city of Springdale or County would have noise restrictions in place for these hospitality uses and or are deed restricted regarding noise. NPS should follow up so that Watchman can be the peaceful campground it is meant to be.

Weekend nights were full of families...a little loud, but to be expected. It went silent after quiet hours. So amazing to camp in such a beautiful location!! All the campsites were well maintained and clean. Restrooms were for the most part clean. We just loved our stay here and can't beat the location with easy access to the shuttles!!!

Tough to get a site. Wish they would keep both campgrounds open

Watchman was so gorgeous! We’ve only been gone a few days and I already miss waking up to that view. I do HIGHLY recommend having a large fan or AC of some variety if you’re going in the summer. After a day of coming off trails, it was tough having a spot without much shade. But we will absolutely be back!

I absolutely love Zion Nation Park. The Wathcman campground is well maintained, clean, with families and it is within walking distance from the town of Springdale. Only problem is that people can be so loud even after 10pm at night at Zion Campgrounds making it harder to get good sleep if you're planning on taking the first shuttle the next day. Other than that you will get beautiful views, plenty of wildlife including lots of deer and plenty of space between campsites.
Beautiful, clean & perfect spot for camping. Three minute walk to shuttles & close enough to walk to town, shops & restaurants. Our family of 6 enjoyed every minute of our stay & we I’ll definitely be back.
This was my third time camping at Watchman campground, the sites were all well maintained, the bathrooms were clean, our neighbors were all quiet and respectful to the nature. Great experience and I would certainly come back again.
Beautiful campground—great views, even ground, clean, quiet, dark. Was very happy with the site.
