The campsite was excellent. Clean nice facilities and scenic. The only detractor was of the park itself in the fact that they just admit far too many people. Parking was a huge issue circling for extended periods even midweek. Huge crowds that definitely induce stress and detract from the experience.

Zion, of course is awesome. Too bad rest rooms dont have showers. Hopefully the new South campground will have modern facilities.

The campground was clean, quiet, and a spectacular place to make camp during my visit to Zion National Park.

Best campground weve done so far. Very well maintained and the view on the canyon is magical. very close to the restroom but the pathway are clearly defined so people are not crossing through the location

Camp host was kind, and both the site and restroom were clean.

We were in C017, near the restroom facilities, which was very convenient. However, in support of the intent of quiet hours, disabling the electrically-powered air dryers in the bathroom from 10pm-7am would be MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

Love the watchman campground. Clean bathrooms, sites are spacious and spread out, shade is abundant and close to the showers.

Camping within the Zion NP was a dream come true. Watchman and its able staff provided a clean and comfortable stay and we appreciated the chance to visit.
Beautiful campground with clean bathrooms. Within waking distance to the Visitor Center and shuttle stop.

Great location! It was conveniently in the park and across the way from the visitors center—making access to the shuttle really close. Campground and bathrooms were clean. The view nestled between the mountains was spectacular to wake up to the sun rising in the early morning warming up the mountain tops and it’s vibrant colors.

Site was fine. It was right next to the bathrooms, which seemed like a great idea, but it was noisy and there was a light shining on our site all night. The dumpster is also located just off the car park, which also drew a lot of campers and noise. It was overflowing and bees were everywhere because of it.

The restrooms are in town so its a bit of a trek to get clean. Also, the water heater was out so it was a bit of a shock. Our site did not have much shade and was in the sun all afternoon. If you want to stay during the day of your check out, we moved our car to the public parking lot before 6am to secure a spot and then carried our remaining camping equipment there.
We did the Watchman hike before sunrise so we could see it light up the canyon. I highly recommend it. The trail head is just past the shuttle stop. We were the only ones up there for nearly an hour.

Great location close to everything, clean bathrooms only bad thing there is little to no shade at campsites and its super hot
Close to visitor center-walking distance. We were in site 17, and it was right next to the bathroom which made it kinda busy with people walking to and from the bathroom. Not a lot of privacy or shade. The site was small, but worked just fine. Excellent views of The Watchman. Bathrooms were clean with flush toilets. Would definitely stay at campground again, but would probably pick a campsite just a little farther from the bathroom.

We spent 3 magical days camping at Watchman. The campground is clean, quiet, and has the most incredible views - the best part is that it is nestled right in Zion NP so we had the spectacular experience of living in the park for 3 days. You can walk to the shuttle within 10 min (buy your shuttle tickets in advance!!) which we did in the morning. Dedicated parking spots are also a huge plus and we felt our car was able to be closer to our tent than in other campgrounds which was super convenient. If you plan to be in the park on the day you check out of the campground, park in the main visitor lot but make sure to get a spot before 9am because it will fill up.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
