This campground is always crowded, campsites are closer than I'd like. But it is well maintained and people were friendly and respectful of the rules. A good base camp for exploring the park. It was about a 35 minute drive to left fork trailhead if you're doing the subway hike.

I love this park and these sites. Staff are always super excited and upbeat while serious about the park rules. Plenty of space, great sites. Great location for catching shuttles while still quiet. Very accessible and of course beautiful.

Awesome views at this campground and plenty of space, especially at night it feels more spacious. No RVs makes it way quieter. The Only negative would be that its right next to the edge of the Park and that side has the town of Springdale and where lots and lots of people park and enter the park. That town and noise is later than the campground.

Very clean and great place. The general store is easily accessible by foot.We had a tent and the ground is soft enough for it.Some elk (deer?) Came one day at our tent location, very nice, just eating grass...we kept some distance of course. But we felt blessed.

The sites were spacious, bathrooms extremely clean, but the location was outstanding. Beautiful views of the canyon. My family absolutely loved camping here.

Tent camping sites are spacious. Good utility sink for dish washing. River nearby for hot days. The usual stuff, people leaving early am and some staying up a bit late. All to be expected. Well worth being in park.

Great campground! Tips for campers you can get a shower at zion outlet right next to the park entrance.

I stayed at campsite 8 for one night, then 5 for three nights. Site 8 has a very long driveway that can easily accommodate two cars, one after the other. Site 5 can theoretically fit two cars side by side, but it's a tight squeeze and you may not be able to open doors all the way. The ground at both sites (and perhaps throughout the camp?) is very compacted and I couldn't drive my tent stakes far enough into the ground, so I suggest tying some twine or rope to your tent corners and using rocks or whatever as weights. I also camped in mid-November, and most of the campsites are in the shadow of the canyon until about 10:30am, so it might be chilly until the sun appears. Bathrooms were clean, potable water was fine, I also had pretty reliable cell reception (Google Fi). Mule deer are also super habituated so they may graze/lounge in the spaces between campsites. Please do not feed or approach them!!

We were able to get walk up permits for the subway this time around and it was fantastic! Bummer that hidden canyon is closed but maybe we can visit again soon!

Decent national park campground. Did learn while we were there that there are electric sites available, but no showers. There is a good dump station and recycle bins.

Lovely campground for our trip in mid December 2020. we didnt arrive to the campground until late at night well after our reservation and we just arrived and it went smoothly, luckily. we spent our 5 days hiking seeing the sights. great campground but we did not account for the tent pads being rock hard and we had no mallet to drive stakes into the ground, so keep that in mind.
