I stayed in Loop C, spot C4. The spaces are a pretty decent size with a decent amount of space between each other. Theres great views from pretty much any site. The bathrooms are well lit and clean (& very warm during winter). I have AT&T and I had great phone reception. Ill absolutely be a returning customer.

This was a busy campground and we were happy to get a site. But we feel $40/night with no hookups or showers is pretty steep. I guess thats the price you pay to be in Zion.

Easy walk to the Visitor Center Shuttle stop to ride to the scenic road stops. Great hikes from The Grotto. Emerald Pools and Scout's Lookout were highlights.

Bathrooms had black widows and giant spiders inside the women's bathroom. Not enough trashcan locations. Had to go on a hike for one. Lovely location though, sun is blocked by the surrounding mountains.

There is a lot to like at this campground. We camped here in a tent and camp a lot. I’ll start with the good. It is beautiful. At the campground, you are surrounded by the tall sandstone mountains and it is really special. They look different throughout the day and I took so many photos just at the site. They did a good job giving most of the sites some form of tree so that you get some shade (I do recommend an easy up to out over the metal picnic tables - they get hot!). The bathrooms are amazing. New building with nice bathrooms and a great dishwashing set up—if you tent camp a lot you know how clutch this is. You are also walking distance to the Pa’arus trail, which you can follow along the River, the visitors center, shuttle buses to either town or the park (so convenient because parking at the shuttle bus station is a nightmare), and even walking distance from a little town to go to the grocery store, shower, rent equipment, eat at a restaurant. This brings me to the bad. Everyone visiting Zion (who is not camping) has to park at the visitor’s center and shuttle in. This is right next to the campground, which is convenient. But, it also means that the campground does not have an “out in nature feel.” In fact, it sounds like you are in a city. You might not believe me, but I am absolutely not exaggerating when I say that someone set their car alarm off on average of every five minutes. You literally hear car alarms ALL DAY LONG. I’m not sure why so many people are struggling with their car alarms. It was truly bizarre. So, you have to assess if the convenience of being close to the amenities is worth the noise/crowds. If you don’t mind that, then this is a perfect site. If you are looking to feel like you are out in nature, this is not the campsite you want. And, this should be obvious, but Zion is the approximate temperature of Satan’s Lair during the day in the summer. So be prepared for that. Also, Verizon gets service.

We camped at 2 different sites. The A loop seemed to be a lot less windy than the C sites. Bathrooms were clean, wish there were showers available, nightly ranger talks were fun, and site is close to main visitor center/tram.
@MaricarBFDE17B · Camped on Aug 14, 2022 at Campsite #C4
Restrooms were clean and had multiple sinks. There was a utility sink at all restroom facilities, allowing you to clean your dishes. In addition, there were spigots outside so you can fill up your water bottles without waiting for the sink. We were in site C4 which is tents only and the perfect distance to the restrooms. It also was on a hill so you can look down at other campsite loops below (someone had a cure airstream below us). The walk to the visitor center and showers (located in the town of Springdale) took about 5-7 mins so we left our car 99% of the time. However, on some rainy days, we would grab our clothes, put them in the car, and drive to the visitor center parking lot so we didn't have to walk in the rain after showering.We had a great view of The Watchman from our site and enjoyed seeing the bats come out at dusk. We wouldn't hesitate the come again!

The noisiest Campground I have ever been in. The Cliffrose Hilton's Spa, located directly across from the Watchman's Campground set up an expansive Portable Audio system for a Cult's Initiation ceremony which was not only annoying but scary. They kept the PA system on all night long with what sounded like the infamous Brown note I think 'they' were using for meditation?

We were given a citation for the mess left in our site by the previous occupant. They left a smoldering stinky fire and garbage. Otherwise great experience but didnt like getting blamed for someone elses mess.

It was my first time camping experience, and I loved it. The ranger Kyle was so friendly and helpful. He gave me some suggestions about camping and some information about the park, it turned out to be the most amazing trip I’ve ever done!

Very clean bathroom, easy access to Zion's Visitor Center (walking distance), deer encounters while in the campground were great, beautiful location with views of the rocks, fresh air, the directions were clear and easy to follow, and fellow campers were nice and friendly.
