Watchman campground is a wonderful place to camp just inside the entrance to Zion National Park. It has campsites that would suit any type, from tents to motor homes. The sites are well maintained and the bathrooms are clean. There are trails close by and a short walk to the visitors center where you can catch the free shuttles.

Watchman is a wonderful campground. Sites are large and well spaced, especially in B loop. The campground is relatively quiet. Many sites with good views of the surrounding mountains or along the Virgin River. Well maintained bathrooms. Having electricity at each site ensures that noisy generators are not running. Lots of trees and wildlife roaming in the campground. Easy walk to the Visitor Center and into town.

Close to the visitor centre and the shuttle buses. Busy, modest size spots, exposed to the sun

Very well run and clean campground. Only complaint was the restroom near our site was closed (no explanation). If you want better cell coverage get a site near the river. Easy walk to the Zion visitor center (buses etc..).

The Zion Watchman Campground, once a haven for campers, has sadly seen a decline in its upkeep. Despite the natural beauty of the campground, the current state of its facilities leaves much to be desired. The most glaring issue is the restroom situation in Loop B. With one of the two restrooms closed, campers are forced to trek a considerable distance to access the only available facility. This is particularly challenging for elderly and handicapped individuals, who may find the journey difficult or even impossible.Furthermore, the remaining restroom is not maintained to a satisfactory standard. The cleanliness is subpar, and the lack of regular replenishment of toilet paper is a significant oversight. These issues not only create an inconvenience but also raise concerns about the hygiene standards being upheld. What adds insult to injury is the projected 50% rate increase in 2025. Its hard to justify such a steep hike when the basic amenities provided are not up to par. Three years ago, the National Park Service did an excellent job maintaining the campground. Its disheartening to see such a decline in standards, especially when campers are expected to pay more for less.In conclusion, while the Zion Watchman Campground remains a beautiful location, the poor upkeep and proposed rate increase significantly dampen the camping experience. Its my hope that the management will take these concerns into account and work towards restoring the campground to its former glory.

Watchman was a lovely campground with the amenities that we wanted for our RV trip. The trail along the river from the campground to the Visitor's Center was close and easy. We stayed for a few days before heading to Bryce. For anyone heading that direction from Zion, please be aware that the vehicles taller than 11'4" cannot pass through the tunnel until 8 am - AND THERE IS NOWHERE TO QUEUE BEFORE 8 AM! We didn't know how long it would take to get there (20 minutes), and we arrived at 7:55 am. We totally assumed there would be a place to pull over and wait until the rangers got there to control the traffic for the oversize vehicles but there was not! We pulled over as best we could but got severely reprimanded (not incorrectly) for blocking lanes, etc. Just a heads-up for others with RVs!

Always a great stay here. Big spaces that are spread out, lots of shade, and a nice town with supplies right across the bridge.

Why do people work in jobs they clearly don't enjoy. Some to 2 camp staff and they were both grumpy and rude.

Zion was a wonderful experience - could ride your bike from this campground and easy access to the bus system too. Great ranger talk at 9pm. Hot, but cooled off in evening and morning. The West truly is the best.

The Watchman campground is excellent! The facilities were immaculate and it was conveniently located a short walk from the visitor center, NPS shuttle service and downtown. We could not have been more pleased with our time at Watchman!

Great location, good distance between sites on B Loop, and clean restrooms. I wish they had another dump station, but wait wasn’t too bad.
