The cottonwood trees have mostly died and there is little shade. Our camp sight was souronded by dead trees. The area is also overrun by deer that steal food and will try to break into your cooler. The tourons also pick branches from the surviving cottonwoods and feed the deer. This campsite was depressing. An example of how the park is overrun and not maintained to keep up with the influx of people and idiots.

Site is not along river, but is very close to river access. Nearby river spot is great for relaxing in the afternoon heat after a hike and kid friendly. No shade at the campsite and the campsite got hot! Large tent pad. Overall the campground was too busy for me.

Very beautiful campground. Most sites have lots of shade. Restrooms were clean. No showers. The shuttle bus at the entrance of the campground brings you to all the stops where hikes start. Another shuttle bus takes you into town.

T-Mobile speeds were excellent at 75Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload with a roof mounted Pepwave antenna. AT&T was in that ballpark down but less than 1Mbps up with a smartphone. Some obstructions for Starlink/solar possible depending on the site.We came in through the west park entrance to avoid the Carmel tunnel. The access road to the campground was easy to navigate in good shape. The site was levellable with standard techniques and had plenty of room for our 30 ft rig. We did need to park our truck perpendicular to the trailer to get out of the road. Views of the Watchman were good from seemingly all sites and you have river access from the CG.No issues with the electrical hookups. Noise levels were as expected for a busy NPS campground.Depending on what spot you're in, it's about a 15 minute walk to the visitor center and shuttle stop. That saves a lot of time vs. needing to go through the park entrance from outside the park.

We had a beautiful campsite right beneath The Watchman. Plenty of space, a fire pit, electrical hookups, a river nearby - couldnt have been happier. Gorgeous place to be amongst the stunning landscape.

Location is excellent. We had to move to 4 campsites in our 5 nights at Zion. The RV only lots were quieter. The further you were away from the group campground, the better. I'd try to book as far away form bathrooms as possible. All very flat with plenty of smoke from campfires at night. Bring a bike and enjoy the shuttle up and ride back to camp.

My recent camping vacation at Zion Watchman Campground was unfortunately marred by several issues that significantly detracted from the overall experience. The most pressing concern was the restroom situation in Loop B. With one of the two restrooms out of commission, campers, including myself, were compelled to walk a significant distance to access the only available facility. This was particularly burdensome for elderly and handicapped individuals, turning a simple necessity into a potentially insurmountable challenge.Furthermore, the remaining restroom was not maintained to an acceptable standard. The cleanliness was below average, and the irregular replenishment of toilet paper was a notable oversight. These issues not only created an inconvenience but also raised serious concerns about the hygiene standards being upheld at the campground.

Very nice, quiet campground right at the entrance of Zion National Park. Beautiful views of the canyon. Short walk to Zion Outfitters for showers and other necessities. Highly recommend if you are staying at the park for a few days!

A very nice Campground, even though it rained one night the experience was unbothered, highly recommended. There is only one thing to consider: The placement of your Tent to avoid the Headlights of oncoming vehicles in the night, or late reading neighbours in the light of their doorside RV mounted collapsed Sun.

Nice flat site, no shade until sun went down. There were no warnings about the algal mats and cyanobacteria outbreak in the Virgin River in the campground, which was disappointing as I had to spend a lot of time explaining to my daughter why she couldn't swim when others were doing so.

We stayed here end of February for five days. That was just enough time to see pretty much all of Zion and a day trip to Bryson. This place to me is more impressive than Yosemite.

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have stayed in. The grounds were natural, shaded and maintained but still feeling like we were in the heart of God’s wonderful world. Restrooms were clean and night hours were quiet.
