Spent a week in the B loop. Campsites were good sized, many with shade, not too close together, and all with electric hook-up. The visitor center and both shuttles are a quick walk from the sites. Views are spectacular. I deducted a star because one of the two primary restrooms for the loop was "closed for the season" to be "open soon" leaving one of the longer walks to the restroom of just about any campsite we've stayed in over the years.

What a wonderful area - good amount of space. Location cant be beat. The kids loved being able to walk down to the river - some deer even came down to drink and walked within 5 feet from us - our kids loved this. You can also walk to the Visitor center in a few minutes and catch the shuttles all through the park from there. You can also easily walk across the river on the bridge to the brewery, market and other stores. 10 out of 10 experience

We wanted a site on the river, but this was the next best thing; we had beach access across the street. There was some shade for our tent, but middle of the day was still quite hot at the end of September. It was far enough away that we still wanted to drive to the visitor center so we wouldnt have a long walk when we had already done a hike, but you have to get parked there by 8 am or its full.

Beautiful campsite. Toilets clean. Plenty of space between pitches. Enjoyed paddling in the river. Close to the visitors centre and highly recommend watchman trail which you can do from the campsite

Location, location, location. The sites were pretty level and Loops A and B have electric hookups. We were supposed to go to Bryce, but they had no electric and we had 3 days of snow coming, so we stayed in Zion. Good choice too because the tunnel road to Bryce was closed the whole time.

Zion NP is one of the most stunning of God's creation. And the visit was made all the more special with our stay at Watchman Campground in the park. From the thoughtful layout, with trees and the beautiful balmy in brook of the Virgin River, to the terrific layout of bike trails connecting the Zion Scenic Drive Road into the depths of the canyon, the entire visit was truly special. And, while it was Memorial Day weekend, the crowds were very manageable and the bus service within the park is so efficiently run, there was no sense of crowdedness at all. It was a wonderful trip. One of the best uses of our taxpayer dollars in this humble citizen's view :)

At the end of October, my husband and I spent three nights in B57 and the next three nights in F10. Our experience could not have possibly been better! These sites were both excellent, but I walked all the loops and didn't see any sites where we wouldn't have been happy to stay. F10 is a walk-in site, but the walking is minimal. Campers do use the group fire rings, but everyone was considerate and shut down by 10 o'clock. In particular, we would like to call special attention to the campground hosts. Due to a bad battery in our rental car, we needed to be jumped on two different mornings, and we therefore were able to meet both sets of hosts. They were absolutely wonderful! My husband and I have had extremely positive experiences at many of our national parks over the past 40 years, and staying at Watchman was definitely at the the top.

I have noticed that many commenters complain about no showers and no trash receptacles in the restrooms. But the restrooms at Watchman are exactly what campers need: they are impeccably maintained by the staff, and as long as campers also take care of the space and pick up after themselves, everyone should be happy. With pay showers right across the river, there's no need to drive to a nearby town. It's a perfect setup for serious campers! Many thanks to the entire Watchman staff who make this opportunity to experience the wonders of Zion possible.

Stay here if you can get a spot! Walking distance to the shuttle which takes you everywhere in the park and to the Springdale shuttle which goes up and down the town. Its a beautiful spot to camp with mountains all around you and its magnificent to watch the light change on the mountains throughout the day!

This was a last-minute booking and it was pretty far from the washroom. The view from this site was spectacular!! Overall it was good.

Beautiful campground nestled in between the massive mountains of Zion National Park. Location made it easy to get to hikes but also allowed us ample space to relax and enjoy the view! Water fill & dump station very centrally located and easy to access.

We were so thankful to have been able to reserve a spot in the B loop, near the river. The campsite was well maintained and bathrooms were clean and warm in February. We will be returning to enjoy this spot again.

We were able to get shuttle tickets and I was thrilled to be able to take my 3 year old grandson up into Zion scenic canyon and do the Emerald Pools hike. We have stayed at the Watchman Campground and had a fun experience both times. It is a little difficult to get reservations in the campground last minute. I need to plan my trips further in advance.

Loved the Watchman Campground views.Visited in August. It felt wonderful to take a dip in the cold river when we got really hot. There was an access point to the river on our end of the campground. We brought some innertubes and sat in those for a bit.... 1 got a hole from sharp rocks. We found it was better to find a place to sit and float because the current moves fast in some spots. I would keep a close eye on younger kids.Try to get a spot with some shade. We were concerned about not having showers, but you can walk over the bridge and pay for a shower. I did this one of our days-- Facilities were nice and you pay by the minute....kinda spendy but it was worth it. This is the same place you can pay to get outfitted for boots & walking sticks to do The Narrows--the boots, neoprene socks, & walking sticks were very worth it in our opinion. Another Narrows tip: Go later in the late afternoon/early evening. It's busiest in the mid morning/early afternoon.
