Beautiful location, sites are pretty close together. There is a well stocked store just outside the park, wish that information had been posted somewhere. Do not plan on parking in the nearby parking lot as it is always completely full.

Watchman campground is an oasis in a very busy park. This site is large and private - we were visited by mule deer and enjoyed walking along the river to the extremely busy visitor center. Camp hosts were great - there was a power outage in the entire area and they kept us all informed.

The dump station was a disaster- both flushing water lines were inoperative. Some were using drinking water to flush! With nobody at the check-in station, abuse and campground degradation is likely to increase!

Amazing experience. Clean, great location, friendly neighbors, quiet. The small creek behind the camping site was really cool to take a splash after a day of hiking. Walking distance to the visitor center, and showers in Zion Outfitters. Bathrooms and dish sink were clean. Just make sure to bring at spray, as we had a bunch of ant nests in our camping site. Squirrels and deer are common, so try to bring containers to keep your food away from them. Our specific site (042B) didn't have any trees to hang any hammocks on, so keep that in mind.

The cream of the crop for Zion -- if you can get a reservation. In the warmer months, the electric hookup sites are a boon. There's nothing more refreshing after a day of hiking than to come back to an air conditioned rig. When we visited in April, the Virgin River flowed vigorously along the grounds, dampening the traffic noise of an otherwise bustling area of the park. Watchman has pretty much everything you need for your Zion home base -- restrooms, dump station, potable water spigots, and as mentioned earlier, electric hookups in some loops. A quick walk takes you right into the heart of the Zion village, where you can explore the visitor center, grab some food and beverages, or hop on a free shuttle to downtown Springdale or the canyon scenic drive.

Sites were nice and clean with electric plug-in, picnic table, and fire pit. We were in B loop and it was a 5 minute walk to the shuttle. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back. Beautiful views and star gazing from our campsite as well!

This campground is the most convenient campground inside Zion park. Therefore, it is also the most difficult site to make reservation. If you plan to go, you should make a reservation way in advance. The campground itself is nice with some privacy. You still can see your neighbor but not too close. From the campground, you can walk to the visitor center, shops and restaurant inside the park. The only downside is there is no shower.

We used a tent, but I would not recommend it unless you have sandbags etc because the ground is EXTREMELY hard. We bent tent stakes and couldn't get others to go into the ground and we needed then due to wind. Bathrooms were kept up and nice. Staff was friendly and informative.

Watchman was an excellent campground. Our site B42 was spacious and right along the river. The whole park is very beautiful. I knew going in that the park itself is not that dog friendly and we could not take them on any hiking trails except for the paved Pa'rus trail nor take the shuttle with the dogs which I do understand with all the people, but I was surprised to learn that we could not even drive in our private vehicle to where the shuttles go to the Temple of Sinawava at the end of the paved road. They even let the guests at the lodge drive their private vehicles down that road but no one else visiting the park can.

The paved Pa'rus trail is also the only trail bicycles can go on and with the massive popularity of all the new E bikes being rented in Springdale it is not enjoyable to walk on especially with dogs as most of the younger crowd riding their bikes are going very fast and do not even alert you that they are coming up right behind you making that trail slightly dangerous for walking with or without your doggies.

Driving up and through the tunnel was very beautiful and enjoyable site and recommended.

The weather was unseasonably warm, and the river was raging due to the melting snow, also the wind blew pretty hard during the night, all to be expected for that time of year except the heat 85-86 degrees. Bathrooms were good and the campsites were not too close together.Very crowded and got sick on the last day.

Our site is by the river. Listening to the water flow is a music to my ear. And the access to the river is just right there. Cant expect anything better! Everything is just perfect!

I love Watchman campground the most, best of the best. Very convenient, right at Visitor Center, easy to get into Zion by bus. Our site are next to rest room and River. Very clean, has electric hook up and large site, beautiful view. I already make booking for our next trip in December. Love Watchman and Zion

Very convenient to stay within the park. Stayed here the end of September, and a site with a bit more shade would have been nice- but there was some shade. I wish the bathroom closest to the campsite would have been open. The convenience of staying in the park was well worth it. Hiking the narrows was our favorite activity!

We had a wonderful day/ night and a nice spot. Only thing that we missed, were the showers. They are still out of order. Zion NP is almost the best of what we visited. We hope to come back someday.Ren (The Netherlands).
