The Watchman campground is absolutely amazing. We were really lucky and got a reservation here through the cancellation system. The views were amazing, great clean facilities. It was a short (10 mins?) walk to the shuttle bus into the park. The campsite we were on was really nice, close to the bathrooms, with a tree for some shade if required. Very flat, it seemed like a prime spot. We would definitely come back here! Just a few minutes walk to the showers, shops and restaurants. Oh and Zion has the absolute best merchandise of any park we visited on this trip! We had the busiest day ever, even managed to see a condor! - Big thanks to the condor expert who we chatted to at Big Bend, he was great.

The setting is amazing looking up at the crags and it was easy to walk to the shuttles. Really good signs directing you everywhere which was good for a first time visitor. Highly recommended.

Lovely, level site long enough for our 35-foot motorhome and toad. We ate outside looking at the Watchman rock formation. The water tasted great, it must be a spring water of some kind. We were only minutes from the first shuttle stop. We could easily walk or bike to Springdale, too. Best campground we've been in.

Excellent campground. Just wish that they kept South Campground open into November. Park was full of people by 9:00 every morning, even though it was the first week of November.

Loved our 9 day vacation at Watchman campground. Hope to return soon.
The shuttle was awesome and Springdale was just a short walk over the bridge and all the food was wonderful. Thank you to the camp hosts also.

Quiet campground, lots of shade, bathrooms super clean, easy to access to dumpsters, close the park! A++

If you want to really enjoy Zion, the best way to do so is to camp at the Watchman campground. It was an easy .25 mile walk to the shuttle stop and there are several easy walking trails that start at the visitor center. Plus our view of the Watchman from our campsite was outstanding. Make your campground reservations EARLY (6 months ahead of your planned visit) or you will never get in.

Our worse experience of Zion NP ever, and probably a situation likely to continue going forward.
Quite frankly it is ridiculous to have to go on-line (with poor internet/telephone connection at the campground!) at 5.00 pm to obtain a shuttle-bus ticket for the canyon for the next day, especially as the website kept indicating tickets available until you pressed "purchase/add to cart" and then indicated not available (sold out). After reentry to the site many times we were eventually able to obtain tickets. Why not have an onsite walk-up window for campers to obtain tickets for the next day?
A decision needs to be made on whether to give the canyon over entirely to electric-assist bikes (a form of entry recommended in the park newspaper) , especially if shuttle buses need to stop every time they pass them.
All non-canyon trails were hopelessly over-crowded for an enjoyable experience, especially since mask-wearing seemed to be a thing of the past!

We scored a lovely campsite on the outer circle, far from road noise and had quiet neighbors.

Great spot with better than average room between campsites. Bathrooms were warm and clean, however, only 1 out of three was open.

Watchmen is a beautiful campground. Deer everywhere. Wish we could have stayed longer....

A beautiful campground. A lot of the facilities were not open due to the pandemic, so what were open were more crowded that usual. A very pleasent experience overall.

Watchman is a very convenient location. Short walk to Springdale and bus stop. However, we were there at Christmas and the busses were NOT running. Had to go early to get a parking spot at trailheads along the river. Once the park service determined the parking was full, not more travel up the river, not even to the lodge.
