Watchman campground is excellent. The sites I had were level. While it would have been nice to have a full hookup, electric only was ok for me. The dump station has potable water to fill your tank. Because I booked late, I had to move twice during my 5-day stay. The campground is almost impossible to book because its so popular. The park is well run. You can catch the Zion shuttle to all of the main attractions and the Springdale shuttle to town from the visitors center, which is walking distance from all campgrounds. Venturing off park, we went to Pink Coral Sand Dunes state park off of 89 on the way to Kanab. We went on. Side By Side tour with ROAM from the state park into the dunes and to a slot canyon for photos. A perfect excursion. Zion has hikes for all ages. Keep an eye out for wildlife. Mule deer walk in the campsites and on the trails. Photo opportunities are everywhere both inside the park and along roads leading to and from the park. I use my iPhone for photos, as many others do. I have my photos stored on iCloud and increased my storage limit for my trip. Something to consider. Try to time your visit to avoid spring break and the summer months, which I hear are very hot. I was told the fall is a good time to go too.

Clean, comfortable, and convenient! The B loop was pleasant with a decent amount of shade and other greenery. Easy to get to and from the visitor center via the riverside trail. The best benefit, though, was not having to figure out parking!

Very well maintained campground- friendly and knowledgeable campground staff.

Sites are pretty small and tight, typical of an older National Park campground. Otherwise it was a great spot with easy walking access to the visitor center and the bus stop for the rest of the park. Parking at the visitor center is always full, so if you want to walk there Loop A is closest.

Me and my family stayed at watchmans for 2 nights and it was amazing! Very clean campground everything is so close like coffee and stores and the park was just around the corner. The only issue is they had no place for showers but Zion outfitters which was very close had public showers so it worked out anyways. The nights were so gorgeous! I would definitely stay there again and hopefully for a longer period of time!

We stayed in loop B, site #32. The site itself was perfect, close to the bathrooms but not too close, and had a couple trees for shade. The campground is very well-maintained and bathrooms were clean. Loved that we could just walk to the Visitors Center, the nearby pub brew restaurant, and a small market that had firewood.

When it is the spring, you need to make sure all bathrooms are in working order. It was nice to see yall are building another campground and that one looks like it will be much nicer with what appeared to be roomier lots. I only hope when its open you close the old one for much needed renovations.

Watchman Campground checks all the boxes, easy access to all Zion has to offer and a great spot to spend the night. The facilities and site were in top condition. We were impressed!

You will be a winner with any site you choose. Springdale nearby is beautiful. We loved the views and the hiking trails.

Campground was clean and easy to access. Hardest part was making reservations. Wanted to stay more than one night and registered for notification of days before and after but every time we got an email they were taken within 5 minutes. Think there should be an order of 1st waiting instead of a dump of up to 150 people for an available site. We ended up staying longer outside the park. Also what was with all the closures in the other campground. Seems like a little early to close for winter and still LOTS of people at the park. Enjoyed the sites and riding the buses up the canyon. If you are going to do improvements would recommend adding electric to more sites.

Beautiful campground! Our site was level, we were missing shade so it got HOT, but we had the electrical hookup so could turn on the AC. Its a bit of a walk to the shuttles and visitor center, but youre close to the river for a nice cool off and to the amphitheater for evening ranger talks. Half of the restrooms were closed, which was a bit bizarre, but trash cans were close by. We loved our stay - its just beautiful in Zion.

Great campground in spectacular location. Can be very hot though. It would be nice if there was more vegetation to provide more privacy between sites. Be aware that this park has become very crowded. Also, some of the best trails are closed (East Rim) due to rockslide, and others are like conga lines due to crowds or require winning a lottery (Angels Landing).

The Watchman is a nice campground. The comfort stations are VERY clean and plenty of Potable water. The scenery is stunning.B17 Campground - This is an oddly shaped / laid out site. You have a split level site. The backside of the camp has the firepit and picnic table. We never used the upper level as it was behind the rv. Then you step down to where the RV is parked. We were in a 29ft travel trailer and it barely fit in to the site you have to park your tow vehicle in front of it partially on the street.

We were there after the Zion Floods early July 2021 and it was still a beautiful place to visit. Campground was in decent shape and I’m sure it’s an insanely gorgeous place to be if there were not flash floods the day before.

Zion is an incredible Park, Watchman is a very good campground and a great place to camp. Ashton Shelton the Ranger at Watchman entrance is a great employee. Ashton deserves a huge pay raise because the Park Service does not reward such a great person. Ashton is what makes Watchman such a great place to camp. One major suggestion is that when reserving a campsite, which is very difficult, a number of sites were vacant yet reserved. There needs to be a system that after 6:00 pm if a site is unoccupied the reservation is lost. I reserved my site back in November, if people don't keep their reservation, they should lose the right to reserve a site at another date or location. Lastly when Zion is completely full the rangers directing traffic at the entrance need to be trained on how to direct traffic. I had to argue with the ranger even though I had a campsite reservation. The rangers were giving opposing directions which were very confusing.

Our particular site was very short and we were lucky our rig was small enough to fit it.
