I spend 6-9 months a year in a variety of campgrounds, both private as well as in the NPs. The watchman campground in Zion is arguably the nicest campground Ive stayed in over the last 7 years. It compares to the KOA holiday in glacier Montana. Spaces are huge, landscaping between each spot so very private and the views are world class. Just perfect. No showers but 300 yards away, across a walking bridge, is a beautiful little town with an outfitter that has showers as well as a sweet micro brewery. Best campground ever!!!!

Great campground the only drawback was construction going on and starting at 7AM I think there was enough availability they could have closed that part of the campground. The park is amazing and they are making some nice upgrades to the other campground.

Loved this site! Only downside was when it rained the site became flooded. The whole campground became one big puddle. I noticed some neighborong sites also flooded. Otherwise was a perfect spot!

Had a great time. Campgrounds somewhat close together but everyone was quiet and respectful. Would stay here again. Super close to town and the visitor center!Tip: clean up your food and trash, saw a campground with about five squirrels running over a group's gear and eating their food when they left

This was our fist time camping in Watchman campground. We were so worried about picking the best campsite, but when we arrived we quickly found out that we didn't need to stress about it. The views were amazing from most sites. There was definite "wow" factor as will pulled in. We had amazing views in all directions. We had to remind ourselves to look up occasionally just to look around. The campground was quiet and had easy access to the visitor center/shuttle bus.

I really liked the campground and Zion was beautiful! Spaces were large and well spread out, not right on top of each other.

Clean campground, close to the visitors center and bus. Bathrooms are clean. They have a dishwashing station, potable water, trash, and recycling. Access to the virgin river as well.

We've traveled to a lot of national parks and this one is by far the best one we've stayed at. The views and amazing. The sites are nice and big where you don't feel like you're on top of or too close to the people next to you. Being able to just walk to catch the shuttles were also a big plus. Good clean flush toilets as well. Zion Canyon Brewery also a very nice amenity to have w/in walking distance and very good beer!

Quiet, spacious, gorgeous views, nice trail along river, and dog friendly. Could not ask for a better place to camp while visiting Zion.

Beautiful campground in a beautiful park. We loved being here in the off-season. So close to so many trails, and within walking distance of town, too. The snow was an especially magical surprise.

I like that the campground feels detached from everything but its also right in the middle. Close to the visitor center, entrance, town, and river trail. Bathrooms are clean and the sites aren't too close together.

Loved the location! Easy walking distance to the visitor's center. Very nice bathrooms. Just wish showers were available and that there was more shade at our campsite.

This is a delightful campground. I think we were in B 6 which backed right up to the river. Though we couldn't actually see it we could walk up a little rise to the path along the river which made for wonderful dog walking. The campground was quiet, people were nice, it was a nice walk to the Visitors center where the shuttle buses left from to see the park, and also right near the little town with a well stocked grocery store.

Loved Watchman campground. Bathrooms were clean. Ranger in the entrance booth was very pleasant and professional. Easy walk to Zion shuttle service. Very impressed with the entire experience.

Wonderful campground with beautiful views and close to Visitor Center. We stayed in 2 sites in electric hookup loops during snowy weather and really appreciated the amenities. Sites are well spaced and have nice fire rings and picnic tables. We hope to visit again; a real bargain.

Stayed in an RV in early October. All of the A and B loop sites are nice and have great views. They are both also an easy walk to the visitor center to catch the shuttle (which you must take to get to the most popular hikes like the Narrows and the Emerald Pools). You will want to take the walk instead of driving around because the visitor parking is perpetually jam-packed. On our last day, we moved the RV to the over-sized parking lot early in the morning so we could enjoy the day without having to worry about check-out at 11. Awesome restaurants close by-- try Oscar's Cafe for great Cali-Mex food.

The campsite seemed very good to me, although the spaces between site and site are reduced, it was a great place. clean, incredible views, perfect location and very quiet. I would go again without hesitation!

Beautiful place. We were in Loop B which was primarily an RV spot but we were in a tent. We were in Lot b61. It was big and we had some shade from the trees. You are an eight minute walk from the visitor center, and an even shorter walk to the bridge to Springdale. Bathrooms are clean. And did I mention the views are amazing!!!

Our campsite was clean and quiet. We could walk into town. We shared the campsite with two ground squirrels who dug burrows and disappeared during the day.

My husband and I stayed for less nights than we wanted at the watchman cg because it was so hard to get a site at all! Zion has become way too popular! We were there in 2009 for the first time and so much has changed. The restrooms have been updated and the roads paved. That is all wonderful. But the crowds are daunting.Using the shuttle to see the high road is marvelous. The parus trail is lovely for walking the dog and wonderful for biking too although it is best to pick early or late in the day times to go to avoid the worst traffic. We also enjoy the Kolob Canyon road. Lovely drive and we have a picnic lunch at the reservoir. We believe Zion is the Mecca of National parks!
