Great location. Quieter than Mathers as it's a lot smaller and that's why I loved it. Nice lil walk at the end of the campsite. Lovely host.

Excellent in reservation, checking in and out procedures. Campground was very clean. Only negative is how you get s reservation for spring, sunmer, or fall. Virtually impossible.

Its a beautiful location with nice, spacious sites and beautiful scenery in every direction. Once youre in the park, you really dont want to leave because of the crowds entering the park throughout the day, so make sure you have everything you need before you arrive. That said, the shuttle into Springdale is right near the pedestrian entrance to the park and thats right next to the campground. The parks visitor center and shuttle is also very convenient to the campground. The dump station was a horrible mess, but that happens, especially when you have lots of inexperienced campers in rental units using the thing. Nevertheless, camping at Watchman is a pleasure that Id highly recommend if visiting Zion.

There is a lack of maintenance to the Campground. They have allowed weeds to take over the camp sites and all around the area. Foxtails and dead tumbleweeds (fire hazard). The restrooms were never cleaned in the 8 days we stayed there in site B02. We have camped at Watchmans for 10 years. It appears that the funds coming into ZION NP are adequate to keep the place tidy and restrooms clean, I was disappointed in the maintenance, but the area is so beautiful.

We loved our stay at watchman. We did have one issue, we booked for 2 nights and arrived late on the first night due to traffic and roadworks. It was dark when we arrived and none of the booths were manned but some instructions were on the window which was fine. The problem we had was that some one had parked a car and set up a tent in our site and refused to move, in fact they became quite aggressive and threatening. After a while we realised that some other sites were empty so we used one of those and moved the next day once the unwelcome camper had left.

Zion is one of the most beautiful national parks in the country! January, although cold, is a great time to visit the park because there are less crowds. It was nice to be able to drive through the canyon. Angels Landing was awesome! No crowds there! And the River walk is always nice

Thank you for the great stay.

The campground was nice, but had no water, sewer, or shower facilities. Of course the views and park make up for some of that.

Nice campground right at the foot of Zion. You can walk to the visitor center and catch the bus going up the canyon. There is no water at each site but there is electricity which is great for running the AC.

Watchman Campground is beautiful! The sites are well-spaced so we had a nice lot and some privacy. We spent a week with our 3 school-aged children driving an RV to Zion, Bryce, and Grand Canyon, and Watchman was BY FAR the nicest campground we stayed in. We were right next to the amphitheater in the B loop so were able to take part in the nightly presentations by park rangers, which was a nice bonus. It is difficult to get a spot here but well worth the effort!

Helpful info: we rented bikes in Springdale (not the bike rental at the park entrance), and that turned out to be a fantastic way to explore the Canyon road (Pa'rus trail to Canyon Road all the way to Sinawava Temple). We had hoped to have a meal at the brewery right at the park entrance, but of course it was completely packed. We ended up at Whiptail Grill after returning our bikes and had a delicious, relaxing dinner there. Found out the hard way that Springdale shuttle stops running after 6pm or so (website said it ran until 10pm), so we did have to walk 1+ mile back to the campground but not a big deal.
