Loved the site, it was open, no noise, scenery was beautiful, deer were always across from us and people were very friendly and helpful.

Watchman CG is an awesome place to stay. Plan your visit early in order to obtain a site - especially if you want to stay more than one night.

Zion is overly crowded these days and the campsites are not crowded like the rest of the park. Amazing views and better experience camping inside the park rather than outside. But please get some showers!

This is a beautiful, peaceful campground with great spots & electric hookups. The dump station could use some attention but overall, it's an awesome spot with beautiful views!

The view of the mountain canyon is amazing from all sites. Met amazing volunteer host and loved evening Ranger talk. Amenities were clean and stocked.

Was very easy to access after entry into the park. Walking distance to easy trails. Right in the midst of some scenic views. Would stay here again.

Zion has become a popular park, so much so that you need reservations to get a camping site and these are sold out for weeks at a time. Yet the park shutdown the sunset campground late in the fall season so reservations were still hard to get and there were no first come first serve sites available. Some of us like to not plan our travel so we can have an serendipitous experience. keeping campgrounds open would help that.

We were able to book 2 nights in an RV site without shade, as most of the shaded sites had been booked for more than 3-6 months prior. Sleeping in a rooftop tent in September while temperatures reached 107 degrees F by day (almost 90 degrees at night), it was difficult to remain cool. The campground itself was excellent, within walking distance to both shuttle routes to Zion and Springdale, we were able to forego any driving during our stay. We also attended an entertaining and informational Ranger presentation on bats at the adjacent amphitheater. Highly recommend this location, but book well in advance!
