Loved camping here! Some shade during most of the day. Town with food and showers within walking distance. Shuttle within easy walking distance. Outlets worked. Lots of deer walking through the campsite at all hours of the day.

Only gave Watchman campground a Good rating because some of the restrooms were closed. The one at the entrance to a Loop was closed. Not convenient if you are camping at that end and have to go to the other end of the loop for an open restroom. Also, the showers have been locked for the past 4 years. Please open them back up!

The campsite is nice and spacious (Site 14) with incredible views of the mountains around. You can hear the water running sound from Virgin river. The bathroom is nice and clean,

Loved that the campground was very clean and so close to the visitor center, walkways were very nice. The shuttle was a huge plus going around the park.

All trails are close by. No showers or lights in the restrooms.
Having electrical hookups means no generators making for a quiet campground and quiet nights. Also, very little CG lighting which translates to great Milky Way nights.
I loved this loop! Our site was clean, spacious, dark and quiet. Bathroom facilities are located at both ends of the loop, so it is very convenient to get to. The dumpsters were on the backside of the bathroom, which was nice to not have bug and foot traffic through the sites. Although our site was across the loop from river, it was a 2 min walk to the water. There are a lot of trees to offer shade.
The shuttle policy has changed since our visit but if a lottery on tickets were to be done again I wouldn’t bother going. We tried to get tickets 6 of ten days with 6 people trying and never got a ticket. The hosts were really special and helpful. The lines getting into the park were slow due ti under staffing at the gate. The free shuttle into town was under staffed as well forcing us to walk.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
