Incredible site! Great for a big rig (we're in a 44' toyhauler). Easy access to trails and the Visitor Center.

Clean. Neat campground, short walk from town and showered. Perfect for a stay while car touring at Zion If you are not looking for a wilderness experience this is a great and convenient basecamp

I stayed at the watchman campground 2x in December 2024. The bathrooms are very clean & well kept. The rangers are always helpful.

Just the right touch. Enough guidance when needed, not ever present almost overdone at some parks, and an incredible natural experience.

Easy access, handicap accessible, lovely stream right behind the site, deer frequented the area often. This site has electrical hookups which is nice for air conditioning on a hot summer day..
We had easy time in this pull through site getting in and out with our little Roadtrek 170 17β RV. Would stay here again if I could get the reservation. Itβs difficult in peak summer season.

We had a good stay, but the location of the fire pit on our site (A11) was horrible. This is a large pull-through site with tons of room, yet the fire pit was placed exactly where you exit most motor homes. It was also placed extremely close to flammable vegetation. I would have moved it, but it was anchored in concrete to prevent that

We visiting in late January 2023 without reservations. A storm had recently passed with rain/snow. Fortunately, Loop A had paved pads for vehicles as the rest of the campground was fairly muddy. We were able to find a good site (A11 pull thru) and reserved it at recreation.gov for four nights so cell coverage was good (Verizon). We had a 26' fifth wheel pulled by a F350 with plenty of room and easy access to town. The campground was clean including the restrooms (no showers; no hook-ups). Staff was friendly and was offered the Senior Lifetime Pass for $80 when entering the park making the sites $15/night! Awesome. Lots of hiking and touring by vehicle/bicycle with minimal traffic at Zion. Certainly not a dog friendly park outside the campground or town. The town (Springdale) was nearly closed for the month tho' the Zion Brewery had good suds, food and service and a few stores/gas stations/coffee shops remained open. We made the 3-4 hr. roundtrip to Bryce Nat'l Park one day. The high that day was 24 degrees and the park was barely functioning. Scenery was awesome in both parks as was the lack of traffic/congestion!

Always a delight to visit Zion's and particularly Watchman Campground. We have been coming here for over 60 years and we even have the Zion's Utah license plate. The campground is conveniently located to the Visitor's Center, shuttle bus hub and Springdale. Now we are both retired, we hope to spend two weeks every spring at Watchman Campground. There really isn't a bad spot but we enjoy being closer to the river.

Great campground. Very convenient to Visitor Center, town, and shuttle bus stops. The only complaint is that most of the bathrooms were closed and there were no showers available.
