Great location, beautiful scenery. Did not see a park ranger the entire time we were there.

This campground is perfect to explore Zion National Park. It is very close to the visitor center, supermarket, restaurants, shuttle and other convenience stores. There is no shower in this location, but there are toilettes, which were always found clean. The sites are of a good size and well maintained. Electricity on site and dump station available in the entrance of the campground.

It is a beautiful campground, well maintained, organized and clean. I arrived during the night and it was very easy to find my site, it was close to the Virgin River and it was very nice to hear the sound of the water. The bathrooms were super clean. I stayed only one night the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and it was cold, but bearable. It wasn't too crowded, even without a reservation it was possible to find a spot, but I imagine it must have been crowded on the weekend.

Our site looked very nice and well kept. We had standard tent stakes and had a difficut time pounding them in. We did end up putting big rocks on all four corners. We only use the tent to hold coolers and clothes so it didn't need to be perfect. It gets super windy in the early morning, so tents should be well anchored and weighed down. Our site was a perfect location for walking to the visitors center, the busses and the pedestrian bridge/town. If you need wood or ice, there is a store across the pedestrian bridge. Just bring your park pass or you'll have to pay to reenter the park. The one negative thing we were not prepared for was the roaches. Our first evening, after dark, we went to wash our dishes and there were roaches in and around the sink. They were also in the bathrooms and our campsite. We took extra care to keep our tent and vehicle closed tight.

Camping in Zion at Watchman Campground is probably as close to being on an alien world as I've been. The way the moon comes around the Mountains at night and sunrise hits them in the morning really have to be seen to be believed. Amazing. The campsite was immaculate and fastidiously cared for. I'm definitely going back!

bathroom facilities were only partially open, one set for the entire campground. Dump station needed repairs, only one fresh water outlet which had little pressure. The rinse water outlets were under pressure and leaked. The facilities that were open were very clean and the campsites were private and quiet. The shuttle system is great with little wait times.

It was a beautiful park! Unless your dog is trailer trained, there is only one trail your pretty can go on.

next to Virgin River, spacious and relax, very closed to all facilities.
@LyndaWAF7F1E8F · Camped on Nov 29, 2021 at Campsite #A9
Our campsite was immaculate and in such a gorgeous setting with cliff and Mountain Views all around. The sites have nice natural growth bushes and trees to provide some privacy. The restroom was clean. And we were grateful that there was still water available in the campground, even though we were prepared for it to have been turned off already due to near freezing temps (early December).

Great location. Very close to the visitor center and trailheads. An RV dump station is easily accessible free of charge. The campground is spacious and level. We had no problem backing in. We enjoyed our two-night stay here.

Loop A was clean, had good spacing from our neighbors, and had a great location to anything we needed (Springdale, shuttle, and two hiking trails within campground).

I really enjoyed my stay here. Two of my favorite photos from my stay in Zion were taken without leaving the campground.
