This was a great campground. The kids were able to explore. Lots of wild life, food stealing deer and squirrels. Beautiful views and serene location. Bathrooms were well appointed and clean.

Great site with plenty of flat space for tents, though there are some small rocks here and there. The fire pits were both good did not need to shovel excess ash from previous campers. We didnt use the grills but there were two. There was shade coverage over picnic tables. We were far enough away from other campers to have privacy and it was relatively quiet. The site was a good distance away from a bathroom/washroom. Only flaw were a few ant hills (three in close proximity to each other). The ants did not significantly bother us. We just didnt use that area.

Clearer information about access to park upon check in would help

We had a large group that used the group site and it was absolutely perfect! The campground staff was helpful and friendly, the site was large and had everything we needed, and the scenery was breathtaking!

Great camp site! Clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were also very nice with potable water and a dish cleaning station. Great location to the shuttle as well. Would highly recommend.

We stayed on Group Site E3 - highly recommend this spot which is right next to the Watchman Mountain! There is ample table space, 3 long stretches of picnic tables, multiple charcoal grills, and a big comfortable campfire ring in the center of the site. I would recommend for those who stay on this site to prepare to carry their coolers and bins to/and from their vehicles every time they leave for activities and at night. We were notified by the rangers to store them away when we are not on site due to the deer that come by looking for food. Keep in mind, vehicle parking is not near the picnic area so it is a bit of a walk and task to put items away every time. There is plenty of shade under the picnic area. Not a lot of shade on the rest of the campsite, so if you are looking for shade outside of the picnic area it might be a good idea to take an EZ-Shade. But most of that time you're out in the park exploring anyways, so it's really not needed. Good spot, I would stay here again.

We camped in Group site 3 in Watchman campground. Zion was amazing, but we had one issue with our group campsite. There were no "critter-proof" food containers in the campsite. This is the first National Park campground that I have camped in that did not have these containers. The campground suggested we keep our food in our vehicles. We brought 4 days worth of food for 30 people, transported in the bed of 2 trucks. It was not possible to keep the food protected in the back of a truck. We had constant problems with squirrels getting in our food because we had no place to protect it. The furry critters ate holes through several of our tents, even though there was no food in them. They have obviously learned that a tent is just a wrapper for edibles. Critter-proof food containers should always be provided for the health of the wildlife and the protection of guests and their food. That is all. Thank you.

Campground is a short walk to Visitor Center. With shuttle service, I never had to move my car the whole time. Group sites have plenty of space for tents, as well as large cooking/dining area.

We took our Boy Scout Troop to Zion for Veteran's day weekend to hike the narrows river trail. We had 18 boys from ages 12-17 and 5 adults hiking the Narrows. We rented gear from Zion Outfitters for the boys, which was located a short walk from our campsite and along the way to the main entrance to the park. The group campsite at Watchman Campground was immaculate. The campground was very clean and easy to navigate. The troop had a great weekend and everyone enjoyed the beautiful views and wildlife.
