I know there is currently a big renovation being completed at the South Campground. Hopefully there are plans for the same at Watchman. It's showing it's age. Some of the simple maintenance isn't being done by the staff. The restrooms were not well kept, the dump station non-potable water was inoperative, leaves were everywhere creating a big fire hazard, and the fire ring in our spot obviously hadn't had the coals cleaned out in months as it was full to the brim. The campground ranger had the odacity to come lecture me about fire safety, yet they weren't doing their jobs in keeping the fire hazards at bay. For the fees we are charged, plus our tax dollars, for a national park this just isn't acceptable.

We arrived late, after darkness, on our first vacation in an RV, at our very first camping ground. Happy to find everything easy and smooth. Clean toilets. We awoke to find ourselves in a nice pine forest, with an appropriate distance to other vehicles, and with a group of elks grazing nearby.

Campground was well maintained and generally quiet even though it was full. Our only issue was pulling up to the RV dump on our way out at 7 AM and finding it full and overflowing. No sign, no notice, just a pool of sewage around the drain. Staff needs to pay attention and block it off when full.

Was there during off season. Campground was very quiet and peaceful. Sites were very spacious and staff was helpful

We really enjoyed our stay in this campground. Clean, stunning views, and we liked how close it was to the camp grocery store, brew pub and coffee shop. The only downside is limited areas you can go with dogs. Sadly I am sure irresponsible dog owners have ruined that option. We will still return to Zion because the pros way outweigh the cons.

Great location, close to plenty of shops, food and hiking. Easy to get around. Big spaces with plenty of room. Clean bathrooms. Can't beat the views surrounding you.

Our site was large and very private. Some others, not so much. Very friendly and helpful host, gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains.

The actual campground is nice and has plenty of space. Unfortunately, the conditions of the bathrooms and dishwashing are abysmal. The bathrooms were utterly gross and smelled terrible. They were cleaned, but they were not cleaned well. The sink area to wash dishes was horrible. Cockroaches and other insects live in the sink and it's not how one wants to wash their dishes. The camp host was nowhere to be found. Never came around the camp. This was an issue as the quiet hours were not enforced. There were several campers who were noisy until 1:00 AM and the camp host was nowhere to be found to enforce the regulations.

Loved the campsite spacing in lot B. Easy access. Night skies were beautiful. Cleaning station at front of bathrooms was a plus but needs warmer water. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Updated campground, clean restrooms, quiet but still close to the village center. Shuttle & Visitor center quickly accessible. South campground next to it is in mayor need of TLC, the Watchman is a few steps above. Watchman trail and Parus trail right from camp.
