Zion is phenomenal in the winter. Very few people do hiking uncrowded. Watchman campgrounds sites are huge, secluded from other campers, easy walk to trails and visitors center, clean, quiet, gorgeous. Deer come through in evening.

This is a scenic campground with a convenient location to the park's shuttle system. But there is one huge drawback. Zion doesn't offer showers in either campground. Since the campsites are dry camping, it doesn't make sense to exclude showers from the campground bathrooms. The South campground is currently undergoing renovations, but there is still no mention of adding showers. This campground works best for shorter stays.

The Watchman Campground was my first exposure to Zion as a while and was the perfect spot for staging my trip in the park. Amenities were clean, the site was in a perfect centralized location, and staff around the campground/visitor center were friendly.Be sure to book early to get your ideal spot, but overall all locations within looked to be equal (depending if TV or tent). Note that the campground also have easy access to the bus line so you can leave your car at the site and not need to worry about traffic and travel.

We visited Zion NP from the U.K and were very pleased and excited to book the days i wanted in the RV park. And we were not disappointed. The RV Park and the facilities there were fantastic. We would definately go there again. It was a great location and everything we had hoped for.i must also say that booking the campsite on Recreation.com was very simple and very efficient. The website for booking campsites is very very good especially for travellers from outside USAVery impressed with Recreation .comThank you very much for having us and making our holiday a great experience

Great location due to being next to visitor center to catch bus in the morning. The bathrooms were out of order in various places including Loop A, the bathrooms were dirty and out of soap multiple times at Loop B. The NP service should take a queue on how to clean and manage restrooms from the State Park system. The restrooms at Goblin Valley and Kodachrome Basin State parks were some of the cleanest encountered on a weeklong trip in South Utah. restrooms also out of order at Temple of Sinowava area.

Nearly level campsite; outstanding views everywhere; 5-7 deer visited ys every day; quiet campground; sites give a feeling of privacy; easy access to visitor center and shuttle up the canyon or to Springdale (or short walk to Springdale from campsite).

Weve stayed at Watchman several times over the years and are always very happy with our stay. The sites are spacious and well spaced for the amount of spaces they have. Weve never had an issue with a dirty camp site when checking in and we see camp hosts or NPS employees regularly out and about. We normally come here twice a year and plan on doing so for as long as we can.

We had a lovely time at Zion. Our campspot was good, except for the mud. We arrived after a snow storm & the area never dried. We had mud, not dirt, mud on our shoes every day for the 2 weeks We were there. They need to put some gravel down.

I like the campground been here before and keep coming back.Its not perfect however, the bathrooms were not cleaned much , theres a 15mph speed limit but a lot of guests and staff I noticed , drive much faster than that.We had a rowdy group next to us for two nights but the parks staff at front desk do not allow anyone to change sites without canceling and losing your payment on your existing site . I understand it would be extra work for them to change reservations on the computer but they dont seem to want to go out if their way . Most other campgrounds in my experience are more flexible and willing to help if you want to move to another site. The staff are friendly though and I do look forward to returning to Zion and Watchman Campground.

Scenery was fabulous. Customer service staff at the visitor center can use some training; rude, unfriendly, not the best representation of who we are to international visitors. Without all the visitors (domestic and international) most of the parks staff would be picking up trash.
