Rarely will you get a closer experience to a national park and a town, camping.

Campgrounds feel very safe. If you camp close to dates the shuttle runs use early or later in afternoon help with crowds. Lack of water didnt effect my stay.

The facilities were fantastic, everything was clean, and functioning. The campsite electrical hookup was easy to use and in excellent condition. Staying at Watchman definitely enhanced our experience at Zion, we will be coming back!!!

Watchman Campground the perfect spot to explore Zion. Clean campsites and clean restrooms. The off-season is quieter, and I think more beautiful. Camped at Watchman over Christmas 2023. It was chilly at 19 overnight but the days were spectacular. After the first of the year, the shuttles stop until spring, so the scenic drive is accessible by car. Be sure to take time for the tunnel drive, there are many good spots to stop along the way and admire the scenery.

We stayed in December so there were many campsites to choose from.
This is a popular and crowded campground. Not a lot of shade so very hot during the summer. Lots of deer and squirrels to get into your food and steal your things.
Absolutely loved our stay. The park is well cared for and the rangers are amazing. Shuttle service is well run. The bathrooms in the campgrounds are clean. Can't wait to return again someday!!!

We loved our campsite in the B loop. The deer came to visit each evening and we rode bikes and roasted marshmallows. We didn’t try to take the shuttle (COVID) but took the bike path as far as we could. Since we didn’t take the shuttle we didn’t do the hikes in the park. Instead we visited Kolob canyon and hiked Taylor Creek trail - very nice. Also did La Verkin Creek trail - ok. Took a drive to Coral Pink Sands State Park (about and hour and change). Driving through the tunnel and over to Hwy 89 is beautiful - lots of places to stop and wander the rock formations. Especially fun for the kids at the Coral Pink Sands was sliding down the dunes on a rented board. Also hiked at Red Cliffs National Conservation Area which was very scenic and fun. We hiked Watchman trail which was busy and steep but worth it at the top! Our kids took their children on a bike ride at More Cowbell?? - a Mesa ride out of Hurricane. They really enjoyed it. So if you don’t take the shuttle and want to go somewhere it takes about an hour to get to these places.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
