Wawona campground is fantastic. The Merced River runs through the side of it which allows for tubing and swimming. There are some beach spots which are great for kids. Some great swimming parts of the river youll need to hike to get to but majority of the river is easily accessible. This campground is more dispersed than in the valley. Only Verizon carriers have signal. There is the town of Wawona that is 6 min drive away where they have a local market for groceries and wifi at the library if needed. The restrooms were decent, and rangers were very nice. We cannot wait to go back!

Wish We were at the lower pines to be closer to trails but it was still awesome!!!

Loved having convenience and security of bear locker at site.

Campground is well maintained and there is plenty of room in each site.

Unfortunately the bathrooms were under repair which is understandable.
