We had one night before a backpack trip out of Glacier Point. Campsite was nice.Bathrooms could use a little TLC/refresh but everything was functional.

Site 059 at Wawona Campground has a small rainbow shaped parking area in front of a huge site. Too shallow to back in my 17 trailer; the description says the site is limited to 18 trailers. They have plenty of room to move a few rocks to make a conventional parking area where you can back in your trailer, just like site 057 next door. Because of the one-way road, we had to park backwards with the door facing the road, just a few feet from other campers going by.. Being Yosemite, it was beautiful, quiet, with excellent, newly renovated bathroom, with many extra outhouses, so there was no waiting. If you plan to explore Glacier Point, you are about an hour closer than staying in the Valley campgrounds. I rated it three stars hoping to get someones attention so they might spend an hour moving rocks and greatly improve this site.

Great site. It was under construction so the bathrooms were not functioning (which we knew ahead of time), but we found the overall campground very nice, quiet, clean and serene. Each site had a bear box dedicated to it. Since it was end of season, Yosemite Falls were not really flowing, so instead (on the advice of one of the rangers Shelly), we hiked four mile trail to glacier point day 1. Day 2 Chilnualna Falls. We enjoyed the latter more even though it was raining. A lot less people and more of a trail through the woods. On the way to the campground we stopped in oakhurst and ate at El Cid. Really good family owned Mexican restaurant. On the way out we stopped at Tandoori Express in Oakhurst. Delicious Indian. Yosemite is beautiful and we will definitely be back for Half Dome and the Falls.

Great campsite location. It was pretty quiet when we came July 1-5, 2021. The area was quiet. Bear bins were a good size to fit our food. It was hot with little to no shade in our spot. Some of the spots had great shade. Our spot was great to watch for stars at night, but we were busy running around all over the place. Overall i would come here again to enjoy the peace and quiet of being in the park without the hassle of being in the Valley. I would probably split my trip here and in the valley if spots were open. no Bathrooms or running water as they were under construction, but we knew that ahead of time and we had our trailer.

The campground ranger took our property while we we out visiting other areas of the park. A member of our group brought two small kitchen size plastic trash bags of pine cones from home to use to start our nightly campfires. The ranger saw the bags in our campsite and assumed we had been collecting pine cones in the park. The ranger took and scattered the pine cones, left the two plastic bags in our campsite, and left us a written warning for our alleged sins. We found one of the bags a couple of campsites away and the other in the creek. I'm guessing the wind carried the empty plastic bags away from where the ranger had left them.
A second warning was given on the same note stating we shouldn't lock our food locker. After having food stolen from us on a past trip to Yosemite, we thought it prudent to lock the food locker with our food and alcoholic beverages inside to prevent consumption by wildlife or teenagers. Seems counter intuitive that we are not supposed to lock the locker.
The next day I stopped the ranger while she was on patrol. She refused to admit that she shouldn't have taken our property (kindling) without a warrant and was unable to show us the law or rule that prohibits the locking of food lockers.
Otherwise it was a wonderful natural and cultural experience in Yosemite.
