The Wawona campground is a great alternative to the Valley floor campsites which are nearly impossible to get. The drive from Wawona to the Valley floor is about a half hour and you drive right by the Glacier Point entrance then through Tunnel View which is always spectacular.

We had a reservation in loop B but the restrooms were locked in the afternoon. They should have been kept open thru our reservation period. It might make sense if they were locked the following day when they were FF. Very frustrating and inconvenient.

Lovely peaceful campsite (til my neighbors showed up; then it got a little exciting).

Very nice campground next to a boulder strewn river. Sites are fairly close together. It was a good option since we could not get sites in the valley but the drive to the valley is full of switchbacks and takes 45 min to drive. Would highly recommend driving up to glacier point on your way to or from the valley.

It was our first time at the Wawona Campground with an RV. We had site 37 right on the river, I think the most beautiful on the entire site. The river had a lot of water and the sound was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would have liked to stay longer but had already planned the road trip. Highly recommended.

This campsite was amazing and we were lucky enough to get a site on the creek which was absolutely stunning. We loved the entire campsite and was a short drive to Yosemite and very easy to get to the Yosemite Valley Centre

I really liked site 37, right next to the river, beautiful sounds of the water. I was in a van and as stated, the parking area was not perfectly flat but it was not bad. The tent area also did not look flat, perhaps a bit of erosion from the wet winter made a groove in the tent area, maybe if you move the picnic table it looked flat under there. I met a ranger who was preparing for an evening campfire story and he gave me great directions for mountain bike rides in the area. The campsite is close to the historic hotel where you can visit and get drinks, and explore meadows of lupines with great meadow walks or bike rides. I arrived a 7pm on a Saturday so I did not have any wait in line at the gate. But I heard some people waited 2 hours to enter at mid day, and its still an hour drive into the valley from this campsite. The following day there was lots of traffic in the valley, so go to the valley floor very early on weekends and plan to bike around the valley and lock your bike to hike to waterfalls. This campground is close to the mariposa grove of giant sequoias, 10 minutes drive to the parking area, and that is a must see, fantastic big trees accessed from a short shuttle ride running 8am-8pm (or 45 minute hike), then a 1.5 mile round trip hike.

Perfect, one of my favourite campground and site! Super privacy. By the river! Restroom pretto closed. Quiet.

A great spot. Somewhat secluded right next to the river. Clean campground. Toilets aren't too far away. Loved every minute of staying there.
