Loved being next to the river. My site (B31) wasn't very roof top tent friendly, but no problem if you have levelers if you're planning to car/RV camp. The site and campgrounds themselves are awesome. Say hi to your neighbors :)

Great campground. Very peaceful and beautiful. Campground spaces are farther apart than other campgrounds in the valley. Wawona campground provides a great camping experience!

It's my second time camping at Wawona. Nice campground with good access to the water, which was good for cooling down in 90 degrees weather. Bathrooms were clean at the start of the weekend but quite dirty by the end, so a more frequent cleaning could help. An area for improvement: They have signs saying "do not wash" at every watering spot and sink, so that is very inconvenient and confusing as to where you're supposed to wash your dishes. Otherwise great!

This campsite was amazing. Youre right next to a bathroom and a beautiful river. You dont get a lot of foot traffic but when people came by they were super friendly.

Awesome! Its next to the Amphitheater for Ranger stories, next (a few feet) to the restrooms and right next to the River and the BEST part theres a small beach like area in front of the campsite next to the river. Get a spot EARLY other families drive down to take the beach spot. Multiple small families can share but some families try to take over the whole spot. You are next to the restroom and you will get foot traffic but Its not bad traffic, I particularly enjoyed the traffic because I said Good Morning to everyone from Loop B when passing the site. It is a corner site, so you will only have campers behind you and to the right and theyre not close. The site details are as described in the website or app. Ive been camping here at Wawona since the (80s) and primarily stayed in Loop C 45-47, and Site 31 was just as awesome as the others. One last thing BE ADVISED - back in the day they would give warnings - NOW they will give you a ticket NO QUESTIONS ASKED - A set of campers got 3 tickets in two days. These are hefty tickets. So FOLLOW the rules. Aside from that, your experience will be what you make it and Yosemite has everything for an experience to be memorable.

Pleasantly surprised by this spot and this campground. The spot had everything: a flat surface to put your tent, some shade, a picknick table next to the bear box the spot is near to a river access as well as the restrooms, although the restrooms do not give any nasty smells or noises from this distance. Approx 45-60 min drive to Yosemite valley. Loved this place.

Couldnt have had a better time. Gorgeous stream that my kids loved playing in. Clean facilities. Had a ranger presentation on bears in the amphitheater. Loved falling asleep listening to the steam.

Absolutely beautiful! Right next to the Merced River. the campground is spacious, clean and very quiet. Great walks with the dog on the Wawona golf course loop. Only a couple of other folks (and dogs) on the trail. My dog was in heaven. Will definitely reserve this spot again. A wonderful time had by all.

This is a wonderful, relatively quiet site right next to a fork of the Merced River. Ahh that infernally lovely murmur of running waters... It is quite near the south portal to Yosemite. It is away from - but drive-ably close to - the hub-bub of the Yosemite Valley. We were here early in the season. The campgrounds were impeccable. I will happily seek Wawona as a more quiet and removed oasis from the crowds when the park is otherwise over-run...

We had campsite 31 and it was very nice! We brought our Labrador and she loved being so close to the water. Expect a lot of foot traffic if in that spot due to the bathrooms being close by. Overall great campground!

closed to beautiful trecks on Sequioa Park.Tent area close to a river were it is authorized to have a swim. Perfect for Children and adults
