The site was clean and flat but in direct sun in the afternoon. The bear box was especially hot, so I kept food in coolers in the trunk of my car during the day. I know it cant be helped, the rains being what they are, but the ground was so hard it was difficult to stake my tent. Also, no one seemed to know where I could take a shower, and that information was not posted anywhere. Luckily, I knew from a guidebook that you can pay for a shower at Curry Village or Housekeeping Camp in the valley. Nearby Wawona Market was the closest place for ice and groceries.

This campground was quiet and had beautiful scenery. The river flows right through the campgrounds and you are able to access it at several points. Would stay here over the valley despite the drive, the campground was much more private. Close to Maripos Grove, the history center, and general store/gas station.

The campground was beautiful, and the bathrooms were super clean. The camp host was so lovely and knowledgable. We plan to go back next spring

Beautiful spot to camp, large spaces and bathroom was exceptionally clean.

We had to bounce around three campsites as we scheduled a little late. It was manageable and allowed us an opportunity to see where we wanted to be next time. 27 A needs a fence or trees/shrubs between the picnic table and the bathrooms. Very little privacy

We were in Loop A site 27 and had a great time.

Some notes on the campsite itself. It is basically right next to the bathroom which is convenient but at times feels lacking in privacy as people are always around. We were also able to fit 2 regular sized cars into the parking space with a bit of finessing but definitely a tight squeeze. Lastly the main area (firepit / table) is in a very sunny clearing. We brought a sun shade so wasn't bad and would recommend doing the same.

Other Yosemite tip, we went during peak season and got to Yosemite valley around 8AM. We couldn't find parking for an hour. So if you are coming during peak season aim to get to the valley asap so you can find legal parking.

This is a beautiful place. I drove into the valley 3 days. It is about 45 minutes. My campsite was not the best, but ok since I was not there much. It is near the restroom which gives off a bit too much light, but is not noisy and is convenient. I would have preferred being closer to the river, but I was near enough that the sound of the water is so good. I did not find the traffic noise problematic. It was a very quite peaceful spot to camp.
