The Wawona Campground area seemed very nice. What made our stay unusable was the slope of our site 019 A. The description of the site mentioned in vague terms that the slope was slight to moderate. I have a 25ft Class C. Slight to moderate is 1 to 3 degrees of slope. 019A had 5-6 degrees. A trailer with a pivot at its wheels can have its back end touching the ground and the front end up in the air by 2-3ft. A Class B or C with four wheels cannot tilt like a trailer. There was no way I could raise the front of the sprinter van by 2-3ft. The site was not usable. My fridge needs a more level slope or it stops working. Look it up, RV fridges are like that. I lost about half of my food thinking I could try spending a night there.

Perfectly fine campground, putting us in good position to visit the Mariposa Grove on the morning we departed. Be aware, however, that there are no hiking trails from this campground.

Property got impounded second night for no apparent reason or at least the notice nor the Ranger could tell us why. Our third night was cancelled due to water issues

I love staying at Wawona campground. It's quiet and the river sound is peaceful. Great alternative to the Disneyland feeling on the valley floor.

Loop B is nicer than A, but it’s a good campground. Campsites a little close. A nice river runs by both. Off-site dump, market, gas station very close.

Loved the campground. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, mostly level site where we were located.

We stayed 2 nights in Wawona the week of 6/20-25. Site 64 is one of the best sites in the campground. It runs along side the River. Site 19 is probably one of the worst sites. You could hear the road traffic all night and morning. Wawona had no water, which is not ideal. We got the best and worst of Wawona, but who can complain when youre in Yosemite? The drive to the valley takes about 45 minutes and 1.5 hours to Glacier Point.
