Loved the location and my Space. What would have made it better would have been Better lighting on the Bathrooms and access to Showers.

Beautiful campground right on the river. It was rainy, snowy, and cold but we'd love to come back in warmer weather. Great access to the Mariposa Big Trees hiking.

We got a great spot right on the river. Even though we were close to the main road, we didn't hear traffic because the sounds of the river won! Great campground.

Very nice campground. Sites are large enough. It allows to visit Yosemite village and come back to relax in a less crowded set up. Showers would have been nice.

Nice spot with river view. Best spot in the loop.

We stayed in the A loop, closest to Wawona Road. It is less shaded than the others which was nice in April. Very peaceful with the river so close by, we never heard road noise. Wawona seems more peaceful than the campgrounds in the main valley, though you have to drive 30-45 minutes to get to the valley. Wawona has some nice waterfalls and trails, and Mariposa Grove is close by. The bathrooms were old but clean. The mens bathroom nearest our campsite did not have lights at night, which meantn i had to walk a ways to use a bathroom with lights or wear a headlamp. I would stay here again.

Great spot by the river. The children played on the big rocks in the river. Friendly rangers. Nice and quiet in the evening. Bring your own handsoap, the restrooms didn't have any.

This place is old & rundown. The bathrooms, care of the sites, and access to potable water are not great. Its a pity because its a neat location next to a beautiful creek.

Great location, had the chance to swim in the river. LTE signal for spectrum mobile (not sure with other service). 45-60mins to Yosemite Village.

Site 17 has a native plum tree, very cool!

Campsites were located right next to the river, even in July we fell asleep to the sound of it rushing by. It was hot and our site unfortunately only got afternoon Sun, which made for an early wake up call. Facilities were clean and well-stocked, rangers were friendly. Would definitely stay again!

We appreciated getting a last minute cancellation and pulled into number 17 which was next to the river. Wonderful spot. The rangers were so friendly at the gate and so knowledgable. We got a map for the Giant Sequoias on our way out the next day.

The trash was easy to use and all the campers so chatty and kind. We were the loudest so sorry if someone complained. We did not need water as we brought our own but loved having a flush toilet and sink to wash hands.

Perfect camp spot and would choose it again. The drive from the valley floor of Yosemite was long (45 minutes) but we loved the river spot and left at 6 pm from the valley floor. Plenty of time to set up a tent, cook a quick dinner, and clean up. One night was a blessing.

17A is the best site in the A loop, backs right up to the river and was plenty big for our 30' MH and van. There is a trail by the bathrooms and group site that is short and easy for kids.

a short drive to the valley and back made it a great location that was never crowded!

We had a spot near the river that was just beautiful and made it worth it to dry camp. Restrooms are basic but clean. It's a scenic 45-60 minute drive to Yosemite valley. I highly recommend at least a few nights here for the serenity.

There are rules but no one to enforce them. The guards are very nice but no one is available if there is a problem. We had a large group show up when we left our site to make a phone call, and they stole our picnic table. The group was very loud and disruptive to the surrounding campers. After the quiet time they continued to disruptive. The next morning I retrieved our table. Thank goodness they moved to a different location in the Wawona camp. We really enjoyed the last night being so quiet and all of the stars, satellites and shooting stars. We didn't see much any wildlife but the sound of the river was awesome. It is a great place for peace and quiet. NO PHONE SERVICE OR INTERNET!!! YESSSSSS. I would definitely use Wawona Camp again, especially after seeing how the crowds were in the other camps in Yosemite Valley.

Enjoyed our stay at Wawona in mid-August! Nice and clean campground located right next to a creek.

It was quiet and without tent campers it there was plenty of space. NPS staff were friendly, helpful, and answered our questions.

Quiet small campground. It is close to the road, but about 10:30 at night traffic has stopped and you hear just the stream.
