I love the Wawona campground, the fact that I booked it 2hrs before our arrival, they are so accommodating and friendly, I love that we almost had it for ourselves especially because its weekdays, so quiet at night no time limit you can do whatever you want but be responsible still at all times, and the staffs are great, theyll give you a map for yosemite valley, what places to visit and all that. Just ask the front desk, they are friendly.

Nice camp ground with flush toilets. Right near a beautiful stream, unfortunately it was very dry dusty and very warm in the afternoon. Our site was close to the road so there was a lot of noise. Recommend getting a site in the back part of the campground. The campground could have been better marked for site numbers sort of confusing

Site 67 is spacious, however, there are no trees at this site. It's nice to be near the river, and the surrounding areas were clean.

Campground is small and clean. Public restrooms were in a good condition. Water stations are available

My campsite was well maintained, but several in my loop were not. Most people camped in RV's, I set up a tent. Close to Yosemite Valley, Wawona Village and Mariposa Grove.

I believe this Experience is great for someone new to Yosemite. In addition It is a nice experience camping by the South fork of the Merced river. I would recommend this Camp!

Campground 8 is right near the entrance and the highway. We were the only tent in the area. Very choppy soil as heavy equipment had moved things around before campground opened. Many headlights at night from cars trying to find a campground and using area as turnaround point. Stay in Campground area B or C if you want a more idyllic experience. Proximity to Wawona Hotel, Yosemite History Center and the Mariposa Grove were the high points of our stay. Hiking out to Wawona Point is a must do even in the snow. Campground 30-45 minute drive to Yosemite Valley.
