Worst parking size in wawana. Every other site you could fit 3 super duty ford f150s this one could barely fit a mailbu and a rouge move a few rocks out since the rest of site has a lot of space. There are rocks stuck in the ground by the tilted bear box and next to the fire pit and picnic table because its disrespectful to move them since the ancient natives sat on those rocks many moons ago but aside from the half of it is in shade and far away enough from the highway.

We had a very good experience and great time here. Perhaps one tip I wish I had known- bring a biggish bowl for washing the dishes. You are not allowed to rinse dishes under faucets. You are supposed to scrape all rests of food into trash and then rinse the dishes and wipe them and dump the water into toilets, NOT on on ground. I really liked the rules, I think its great to keep the campground safe and clean and most importanty keep the wildlife safe.

This campground is a fun spot.I would say this is a fine campsite, but it is a little bit closer to the camp road than most campsites and there may be other sites that are more fun (like closer to the river). There were no issues related to camp road proximity, and the site was a comfortable, yet close distance to the bathrooms. The toilets are flush toilets. Some of the other reviews talked about the parking spot being too small for 2 cars but it was large enough to (barely) accommodate an XC60 and a CRV. We were also able to fit two 4-person tents and a 2-person backpacking tent. 4 camp chairs fit snugly around the fire ring. The campsite is a 35-40 minute drive from the valley but you pass the entrance to glacier point and an astounding lookout on the way. It is also very close to Mariposa grove (giant sequoia trees). There is a very quaint store called Pine Tree Market on Chilnualna Falls Rd that has a surprising array of foods, snacks, alcohol, and conveniences. They even had homemade(?) sausage that looked quite good (did not buy). The local stores tend to run out of firewood (at least when I was there, but based on the number of campers buying wood for fires) so I would recommend foraging for firewood from fallen trees/branches. We were able to find plenty of dry, dead wood inside the park, but it is also an option to drive up Mount Raymond Rd near Fish Camp.

I love this campground. It's right inside the park but you can get to Yosemite Valley in 20 to 30 minutes. There is also a small market 6 miles away. The river is through camp ground so we could hear the water laying in our tent. Clean bathrooms too.

This is on a beautiful campground but the site itself is tiny. There'd be no way to park 2 cars.
