Had a great time camping here. Wawona is located really close to the Mariposa Grove and isn't too far from Glacier Point. We also explored the town and the little library which was a fun stop. The hike to Chihualna Falls is strenuous, but you don't need to hike the whole thing to get great views of the waterfalls. You can access them right from the beginning of the trail if you want. Overall, a great experience. You still have river access (bring inner tubes) from this campground and the drive to Yosemite Valley isn't bad either.

The only issue was that we got reservations for two days, but in a different sites other than that it was ok

Great campground. Multiple Refreshing swimming holes on the river alongside it. Lots of shade in loop C.

Campground was very well-maintained. The reservation system online is a little confusing its hard to figure out what type of site youre getting (unless youve been there before). The campsite said full every day for a week but when we were there every thing was only at half capacity. Tons of nice vacant spots. Im not sure exactly why. The bathrooms were very clean and well-kept. It would have been nice to have a shower in the bathroom. (Seems like it wouldnt be that difficult to add) The river going through the campground was very scenic clean and relaxing. Everyone in the campsite respected the rules. Rangers were informative and present. Didnt see any Bears. Only chipmunks and birds. Did not have any biting insects. We had really good weather went late August. Closest place to take a shower is curry village which is like an hour away. Campground little further from the valley than I was expecting. Close to the Big trees Wawona Hotel and Sugar pine Railroad Attraction. Close to a gas station. Easy to find and gather wood. A lot more chill location than being in the valley. Overall good experience but if you want it to be in the valley and around all of the action I would recommend staying closer in. But if you want a little more chill relaxing less busy spot in the park this is a great place.
