I drove all the way to Yosemite, 4 hours one way, only to find they were closing the campgrounds and I had to turn around the next morning and leave, Recreation.gov sent an email telling me, but who gets email alerts while driving? Sending a text alert would have saved me 7 hours of driving!

We had a great time at Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite. We lucked out to have two campsites immediately next to each other in two different dates. During our trip we hiked up the mirror lake trail which is a nice and easy hike for the entire family with some fun smaller natural pools at the end to refresh and hang out.

The bear box was too far away from the fire ring.

We had a wonderful time in Yosemite and the campground was amazing. We were in need of a shower, otherwise it would have been a five star review.

Great place to stay in Yosemite. Close to the Mist trailhead and you can see half dome from camp!

Stayed here over New Years Eve weekend, 2022/2023. A big storm was hitting the Sierra's during this time. Overall the campground dealt with the rain pretty well but with plenty of flooding which made half of the sites a real mess. Staying here in Winter is fun, I'd recommend it, just be prepared for all kinds of weather. Beautiful views of the snow capped granite rocks.Bathrooms are adequate - clean, lit, heated in Winter.Registration is a total mess. Took is 36 hours to get checked in and by that time a ranger canceled the reservation so I had to deal with a disappointed camper who thought they had our site. Would expect better from NPS.Sites are very, very cramped. Not my favorite experience. I guess that this is what you put up with in order to stay in the valley floor.

Campsite was moved and the new site was covered in ice and snow. Had to return to the office to get a site where we could at least get in. Campers were running generator running for some hours - not after 10 pm, but still, not peaceful or quiet.

Camping in Yosemite Valley is such a wonderful experience. We camped for 3 nights. The first two nights were great. The third night, we had a group of very noisy young men in the site next to ours. They came in late and I think weren't told that they couldn't make a campfire after 10pm. They gathered large pieces of wood from the area behind their site and burned them starting around 10:15pm; the wood was sticking out of the campfire container and I thought could likely light the entire place on fire. I let them know they couldn't have a fire after 10pm and also asked them to be quiet since it was after 10pm. They weren't disrespectful, but they continued to talk loudly and sing despite my telling them several times to keep the noise down. I think the campground host should walk around the sites after 10pm to monitor those that are breaking the rules. We also had very aggressive squirrels at our site. My backpack was 10 feet away from me while we were setting up our tent, and they chewed a hole in my pack and stole several food bars. We chased one around our bear bin but he was able to get in through a small opening and got into one of our coolers. The mosquitoes are aggressive at dusk despite my using deet spray.I would camp again in the Valley anytime -- it's so beautiful there!

We camped in January and the campsite was fantastic! Not incredibly full, so it was nice and quiet. Bathrooms were still well stocked and a quick trip to Curry Village had plenty of reasonably priced firewood to keep us warm at night. Can’t wait to return! Word to the wise: be sure to bring a shovel to dig out a place for the tent.

Reservations were very hard to get on July 15, even though we tried as soon as sites became available. Traffic was a problem for other people we knew. We departed in the middle of the day so it wasn't a problem for us. I believe the number of cars in the valley should have a daily limit and the shuttle buses should be resumed as soon as possible.

We wish campfires could be eliminated completely. The smoke caused by careless campfires is very detrimental especially to those with asthma.

Was an incredible stay but very few park rangers to enforce the campfire protocols, our neighbor left their camp fire burning after they went to sleep, which was very dangerous for everyone. Many camp sites also had very early morning fires going and no one was stopping them or putting them out.

We go to Yosemite a few times each summer and simply love our time there.
I have always felt more could be done to keep the bathrooms clean and functional. I would suggest that as a focus for your survey.

We were fortunate to get a site in upper pines for the week of June 15th. The experience was beyond amazing. The park and restrooms were very clean. The people were so nice and the valley as beautiful as ever.
