Great campground with beautiful views and walkable access to shuttles, trails and Curry Village.

Currently there is lots of construction. Plan for considerable extra walking as the shuttle is not going to the campground. The signage and maps have also not been updated, so there was a fair amount of frustration. CAMPERS: please know (1) there is no trash can at your site or in the bathrooms. Bag and carry all trash (including feminine hygiene products) to bear proof dumpsters at end of your loop. (2) REALLY!!! Do NOT feed ANY animals. We had an aggressive squirrel who clearly knew what a picnic table was and was determined to get around us for our food. When you feed them it may seem cute, but youre training them to be awful! (3) There are no showers in campground. Go to the pool area at City Village to shower.

Absolutely beautiful. Waterfalls were full, river was raging, buses 7 trails packed. A must see for any nature lover.

Very difficult to back a 20’ trailer in when the spot directly across is occupied.

Yosemite Valley any time is magical. But campers need to realize that in the Winter the shadows of the walls keep it dark a lot of the day. Real warmth and light starts about 9 am and can seem dim by 4 in the afternoon. If your in a tent trying to stay warm it can make nights long. In an RV without hookups you may find your batteries are going weak by morning. It's still a magic place but it is important to know that winter in the Valley is far different from summer. You will be in your tent or RV longer. No TV, internet or hookups. So bring a good book or something to do.

Worth the wait! And don't over pack on food and smell-ables! Everything has got to fit in that bear box, so your space is limited. Pack smart on the food and drinks!

Loud people, screaming kids, not managing kids, and them running through campsites. No real oversight in campground. People not respecting quiet hours! Too many fires. Everything is smokey in evenings. Should separate RV section from tenters. RVers are oftentimes not as loud as tenters. Some parks have RV only sections with no tents allowed. Not as many RVers have fires like tenters do.
Majority of sites are not level.
