We enjoyed our time camping at upper pines. Very glad to see the rest rooms serviced during the shutdown. It would be better if three loops were kept open instead of two like it used to be. There is SO much demand for a camp site now that it Id VERY difficult to get a few nights in a row.

Truly excellent experience. Basic but clean and easily accessible flushing toilets, drinking water, RV water refill stations and grey waste drainage. Beautiful views of the valley sides, especially at sunset when the light hits them. Able to see climbers lights on the cliff sides at night. 10 minute walk to curry village - great pizza place and bar. 15 min drive to House Keeping camp for laundry and showers. 5 minutes shuttle to mist trail. 20 mins to Yosemite falls trails. Free shuttle was super easy. Good fire pit. From the UK and not used to using bear boxes. Didn't bring an icebox in early May. Hot days, but food kept pretty well in there so may not need one unless you want things super chilled.

Great campsite. Cold night, warm bathroom with tp. Can't ask for anything more in a national park campsite.

Great campground! Helpful rangers and guest hosts. Bathrooms take a beating but are adequate. Nearest showers available were at Camp Curry, $5 charge. Used to be $2 for 25 years. Was 150% increase really necessary? Also, the Camp Curry swimming pool was closed. That was always something our children and us looked forward to after a long day in the mountains. Please get that pool reopened. I know a lot of guests at Curry and housekeeping look forward to that amenity. Other than that, Yosemite is an awesomely beautiful and timeless place, a must visit for everyone at least once.

great site, close to bathrooms and no neighbors behind, you can see the falls and half dome from the site and has a nice raised tent platform. we had a campervan and two tents and was very comfortable.

We were fortunate to be able to rebook here after our reservation was initially cancelled due to anticipated flood conditions in the valley. Recreation.gov was very prompt in processing the refund, as well as allowing us to rebook the next day once conditions improved and the campground reopened. It turned out the campground was only about 20% occupied due to the initial closing, so we enjoyed relative quiet. It was unfortunate that a water problem left the tap water unpotable during our stay but we were able to get water from other nearby sources. Our site was level for our camper van. It also had a raised tent pad which was nice too.

We made this reservation not because we wanted to camp, but because it was the only way to get into the park given the Entry Reservation requirement. While everything ended up working out (we got into the park without a Day Use reservation by using this camp reservation), it seemed wrong to take up a campsite that someone else could have used just to get access to the park. Also, paying $36 instead of $2 for an Entry Reservation hurt quite a bit. If you want to visit a park requiring reservations, just be sure to reserve during the first booking window. We tried booking a reservation during the 2nd reservation window and could not get a ticket because of high traffic on Recreation.gov. By the time we got to the ticketing page, all entry reservations sold out. Rec.gov should allow more Day Use reservations to avoid having purchases like mine which were only used as an entry reservation.

Great spot, raised/flat area for tent. No real shade or trees for hammocks. Easy access, restroom close by. No campsites behind

21 was a great site with a partial view of half dome and Yosemite falls. Short bike ride to Mirror Lake and short walk to the Merced river. We took our bikes and were able to get around and discover the valley. Can't wait to go back!

We stayed at 21, 28, 95, and 176. We had a wonderful week. The location makes up for the closeness of the sites. Cant wait to come back !!

Great Camping. Bathroom facility was very well kept and cleaned. Due to Covid many sites were unoccupied even though all the sites were booked.

It's always a great time camping in Upper Pines. My friends and I had are 21st annual trip in September. We love the area, the scenery is beautiful, the hikes are amazing. As we've slowed down the strenuousness of the hiking (we are getting old!), we keep finding new places to go that are awesome in their own right.Constructive criticism: The overall maintenance of many aspects throughout the valley had definitely declined compared to prior years. One of only 2 sinks in the campground restroom was broken with no plan to fix it in sight apparently due to federal budget cuts. The showers at Curry village were dirty, understaffed, and lacked the normal basic supplies of soap, shampoo and towels. Overall, everything was less well maintained and less clean. Such a shame to see such a wonderful place that attracts thousands of visitors - both from the US and internationally - decline in such a way.
