We camped here for three nights and had a wonderful time! This site sits along the Merced River with small runoffs, and some areas of stagnant water. While beautiful it did make for lots of mosquitoesI wonder if other spots away from the water had less mosquitos. This site sits away from most of the crowd which is nice. We camped with our Coleman 17b trailer which runs about 21 feet long. On the website the description says nothing bigger than 19 feet, but when I entered our trailer size this was an option, so I went with it. It fit just fine but we had to park our truck (8 foot bed with cab) at an angle between the trees, not too bad since we had cameras but I can see this site being difficult for larger vehicles with no cams.

Site was good, level and shady. The river near the campground entrance is a welcome place to cool offValley Floor Tour is a must, as is the Museum and Visitor Centre. Shuttles can be busy so allow time to wait for the next one

All of the NPS staff were friendly and helpful.

We reserved three nights. We only stayed for two, because of incoming freezing temperatures & snow. Without asking, the staff arranged a refund for the unused night. Checking in, and checking out, the staff member was both friendly and professional.

Upper pines is a little crowded but location of our site is close to Happy Isles. We enjoyed our stay there. Ranger and hosts manning the entrance booth were very kind and helpful.

We stayed at Upper Pines for two nights with a 25 feet RV and found it wonderful to sleep between the trees near the river, making a fire and some food in the evening after a long day of hiking up the Vernal falls and the Yosemite Falls. The village store has everything you need, even vegan grill options. We arrived late, had to change the place once (because we couldn't book two nights together, it sold out quickly) and checked out early, but it was all very well organized.

Very nice campground where the majority of sites are relatively flat. Easy access to sites on valley floor by bike or walking. RV dump station is right at entrance to campground

The Upper Pines is not Upper but on the same level as the other Pines locations. Which is fine. We always arrived after the booth was closed but our names appeared on the list with our campground number. Curry Village was close by and a great place for an RV to park, if needed, get out the bikes and head to the bike trails that wound through the valley. Sites were not always level, but could get better by setting up on one side or the other. The campground is no where near pictureque as the Valley as the campsites are close with few rock or flora barriers. An overall view shows rigs and tents looking scattered in tatters but location is everything. Bikes are more than essential to avoid the auto traffic and to access the trails faster than hiking the feeder trails to the trailheads. We didn't use the facilities. Make sure your rig can sort of fit in the campsite you choose. There are overhangs in the back but best not to push it. Some larger rigs were very close to over hanging the roadway. Just a magnificent place to be once out and about.

Did not have a campground the first night as rental RV was left in our site. So we were shuffled to empty campsite twice during the day and night. The next day we were able to get into our campsite. Just getting the campsite was such an ordeal and then having to move campgrounds was extremely disappointing especially when we could only get two nights in the valley.
