The camp ground is generally beautiful. Yosemite is an amazing place to visit. No complaints there. Ive been to this camp twice now and stayed 2-4 nights each time. The only negative encounter was with the hosts. Sometimes they were incredibly friendly but two days in a row I turned on my truck (Diesel) before heading out and I was spoken too so rudely diesels dont need to be warmed up, Ive owned diesels and never let them warm up I was utterly shocked because obviously these folks have no IDEA what they are talking about. To drive the machine safely and for the vehicle longevity especially when it drops below freezing, warming up your vehicle is essential. Each day like clock work I started the engine and let it run for only 5 minutes before they walked over and questioned me. Id understand if I was being warming it up for 15 minutes or something but not even 5? Thats just a safety issue now. The other odd thing is they compared my engine to a generator and it wasnt allowed but I looked back at the generator hours and I was absolutely within the window. So again, beautiful area, beautiful site but the hosts were on the ignorant side.

You can bring firewood in from 50 miles or less - dont HAVE to buy it in the valley. If site is empty, you CAN check in before noon.Bus stop 15 is across the road and creek with no foot bridge 18 is directly across from camp ground entrance. The 10 mph limit applies to legal electric bicycles as well as the high speed illegal eBikes racing around, but cycling is the way to go instead of waiting for shuttles. Badger Pass closed, so no access for snow shoeing and Mariposa Grove shuttle is not running so add 4 miles to walk or cycle to the grove from parking lot.

We ended up staying at two different campsites (227 and 108) both campsites were spacious and taken care of. Campsite was located near the trail head for the vernal footbridge, and we continued our hike up to vernal falls via mist trail and then to Nevada falls. The food storage lockers were huge and we had no trouble fitting in everything we needed to. Overall excellent camping experience with beautiful views.
