There is no place on earth like Yosemite. Hike, bike, walk, raft or just gaze at the beautiful scenery. Never a bad day in Yosemite.

Fall is a great time for camping.

We were once again extremely pleased to have been able to experience the MAGIC of Yosemite in the spring!!

The campground has a nice view of all the cliffs surrounding the valley, but it is extremely packed with very little separation between the sites. It does not have enough restrooms given the amount of sites, and the restrooms were not well maintained. Also, we stayed for a few nights and had to change sites in the middle of our stay. The check-in hours of the campground are 10am-4pm and the ranger at the check-in could not check us in for both sites at the time of our arrival, forcing us to waste valuable time on the day of the transfer in order to be able to check in for the second site. This is one of the only campgrounds available in the Yosemite valley, so it's kind of the only option for low cost accommodation with less than 30m drive to all of the main attractions in the valley, and because of that I would still stay here, but it was one of my least favorite NPS-operated campgrounds.

Beautiful setting, had nice creek near the back of our campsite.

We went during memorial weekend which was crazy. It was very busy and hard getting around. Highly recommend Bicycles. Our site 226 was perfect. More "secluded" than most, had a big rock and creek for kids to explore. It is a some what crowded campground depending on your site. Obviously there is lots of wildlife like bears but it was the first camping trip in awhile raccoons, squirrels or jays haven't tried to raid our campsite. But always keep all food in bear locker. Waterfalls are amazing right now, some trails are very wet.
