Excellent location close to few of the best Yosemite trailheads. Nice views, but also enough shade from the sun. Some challenges exist. The campground is worn out and cleanliness of the facilities has room for improvement. Some behavioral issues are also challenge. The campground is very crowded and busy, people coming and going, also during late in the evening and early in the morning. Dog walking happens in the campground with obvious results. We also saw late night more vehicles in some slots that should not maybe be there (at least no permit tags visible).

Very nice Staff/ Host.Campsite are relatively small and close together.Wider space like at Grant Campground Yellowstone would be great.

This site was amazing! It had a beautiful view of North Dome. We were able to fit a 25.5 ft RV in the site with a little room to spare. We were nervous about bringing in a larger RV than what the site said, but had no issues backing it in and pulling out. It is really close to the Happy Isles bus stop and the trailhead for the Mist Trail. About a .75 mile walk to the Curry Village store, which wasn’t too bad. We came back to Yosemite a few days later and stayed at another site, but nothing compared to seeing North Dome (or as my husband lovingly called it, “Ole Roundy” This loop seemed to have more space in the middle of all the campgrounds, so while we had neighbors on our sides, the other side of the loop was a good distance away. I’m sure there are other great sites, but if we could come back to Yosemite and pick any site, we’d take this in a heartbeat. There was a little meadow/area of downed trees and large rocks that our kids climbed on all day.

We were lucky to randomly get this site 5 months in advance (harder than Taylor Swift tickets) but it exceeded all expectations. Site 225 is in our hearts forever.
