Check in went well with staff available and helpful in the process. Sites were mostly clean with level spots to pitch tents

Had all the amenities we needed, but the campsites are super close together, and the parking spots are small!

This place should have been an RV only place. My 6-person tent did not fit. Only a 2-person tent at the maximum. Avoid this spot unless you are sleeping in your car. Very close to Mist Trail though.

The bathrooms have seen better days. They must have been built 70 years ago. Only one sink worked. I know they don’t want to attract bears, but there must be some odor free soap they could provide.

Camping in the valley was a dream come true. I learned that getting 6 nights was a miracle so me and my buddy made sure we took advantage of our good luck and hiked and biked 113 miles in 5 days, plus 6 miles in Mariposa on day 6.My biggest advice would be to expect to be sharing tbis experience with thousands of other. Have a positive attitude and try to enjoy the experience with others. You will feel crowded, you will feel anxious at times but there is fun for all so embrace it.As for camp life at Upper Pines, the biggest suggestion to others I can make is be friendly, say hello to your neighbors everyday. Ask about their day, where they are from and what their favorite part of the park is. The sooner you realize and accept that everyone is watching everyone the easier camp life will be. Not a creepy thing, iys just that Yosemite is one of the best people watching places ever. Have fun, follow the rules and do as much as you can. It took me 5 years to score camping, and it may never happen again. So, I walked out of there knowing we rocked it and maximized every bit of our time I could. I love that park and hope you do too by the time you leave.Cheers

I loved the campground. I wish there were onsite showers, I would have stayed longer. The trails are well marked and the grounds were taken care of. I also just wish the center and certain areas were open as there was a lot of construction at the time. We will definitely go back.
