We just happened to hit Yosemite at the perfect time. The weather was great all seven days that we were there. This was our 43 year in a row (minus covid) coming to Yosemite. We were a little concerned about the snow and ground conditions but everything turned out great. The falls were tremendous. Fortunately we were able to finish our stay this year just before the park closed due to high water concerns. Looking forward to next year.

Dear Park Service, you absolutely failed on April 3, 2021. You were under staffed and allowed way to many people into the valley. You had no traffic control, and seemingly no ability to effect the negative behavior of many of the day visitors in the park. I have watched for years as you have attempted to restore meadows and change driving patterns. All of that seemed meaningless. Cars were parked in areas previously roped off to even foot traffic, no parking signs were patently ignored, and there was not a ranger in sight. Your lack of control ruined the weekend for patrons who followed the rules, paid for the opportunity to camp and relax in the valley, and then were essentially unable to do so. A simple drive from Curry Village to Upper Pines, 3 minutes tops on a normal day, took over an hour.
I have visited the park my entire life. What I saw on April 3rd has me questioning if I will ever return. This was a complete failure on the part of the Nation Parks Department and the Park Rangers.
