Always amazing to be in Yosemite! While we were very close to our neighbors, thankfully it was quiet at night and the rangers were very visible and did frequent rounds.

Even though this is an RV site, there's room for multiple tents. There is space to the left and right of the driveway and if needed behind in the middle area for 2-3 tents. Restrooms are nearby and convenient. There is shade in the evening but not in the morning. The sun hits you around 8:30am but not a problem if you're there for early activities.

Any campsite in Yosemite is precious and wonderful. That said, this site is not of my favorites. It t was very open and small in the center area of the campgrounds. We had room for two tents, quite close to the picnic table and food locker. Alas, no trees for a hammock. We liked the deep fire pit and the double grills at two different levels.

Of course, Yosemite is always beautiful, but this trip was amazing! The raging Merced river!

It was packed, when i came back at night and found there was someone else taken my spot and they claimed someone gave them the spot, no where to find help or call, but managed to negotiate with the squatters to just give me back a spot to park for the night and they took the 2 regular parking spots, table, and they had camp fire all night long with smoke so i had to close all windows. Other than that location was excellent.

We enjoyed our stay, but our campsite's slab was very bumpy and many of them are like that and need to be repaired. We have a tough time leveling our trailer. Also the staff at the entry gate were not very knowledgable about yosemite. Still, it was beautiful and everyone was friendly.

Overall the campground is nice. Spaces are a bit tight with not much between sites. The bathrooms were somewhat clean. I would very disappointed with how many empty sites there were when it said they were full. I wish the Natl parks could figure out a better system to really fill the spots.

Upper Pines is a nice large campground located very close to Half Dome and a mile hike to Mirror Lake. We are RV campers and the campsites I noticed vary from very level to not so level. That said, bring blocks of wood or leveling blocks just in case. Restrooms are clean but oh so ancient and spartan. There are flush toilets and old pedestal sinks with zero counter space. Otherwise, enjoy yourself in the natural beauty of Yosemite. FYI, I have ATT and cellular service was too weak to do anything in Upper Pines.
