This was an overall nice campsite. We were close to the bathrooms and only had one campsite in close proximity to us. The only real downside is that there was no shade, so the sun was really beaming down on us during the day. Really good spot!

Site 186 was a very open site. Not much direct shade, but an easy walk to the rest rooms. Parking was limited, there was not space for 2 vehicles here. Easily walked to any shuttle stop nearby. There were 2 trees spaced just right for a child's hammock to be stretched between them. Lots of small wildlife present.

Yosemite was great as always. But if you have a chance try not to stay at 186 upper pines. Lots and lots of Sun. No trees that provide shade. Not very many choices on where to put down a tent. It looks on the map like a big site but most is overgrown that you can not use.

This site is a large site but it's overgrown with vegetation, limiting the number of places to pitch a tent. We still managed to pitch 3, but it was a tight squeeze. There's also limited tree coverage as evidence by the 4 tree stumps around camp. Much of the camp was exposed to direct sun.

Everything was great!

Great location with one side covered by trees. Even though we had a bathroom near us the bathrooms seem to have soft close doors so we didnt hear much noise. We had a neighbor across from us idling in their RV with the lights on which was annoying but other than that another great Yosemite experience.

Beautiful campground with lots of space between campsites, so you dont feel like youre on top of your neighbors. The bathrooms are heated which is an added bonus! The only downside I found was that there are no water stations and you cannot lock the bear lockers.
