SUPER like always. the only problem was that there were a couple of times that there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms. Also, water was shut off at the back loops.

Minus one star for the crowded shuttle service. Campsite itself is great and perfect for Vernal/Nevada Fall/Half Dome hikers. It's not near any shopping or dining facilities though so best to bring your own bikes if possible. We almost missed our Breakfast reservation at Ahwahnee(highly recommended) waiting for the bus. In the end took the car to drive there as we do not have our own bikes. I think if there are bike rental outlets nearer the campsites (upper, lower and northpine are very near each other), many of us would have immediately rented a bike.

This campground, at this time of year in the fall was absolutely perfect and incredible! Cooler mornings are a perfect treat coming from Southern California, & the chance to explore the valley via hikes and biking was so nice! Thank you to the folks of the National Park who protect and care for this beautiful & magical valley!

First time camping inside the park. I decided to go during the fall. Upper Pines Campground is great. The only downside is that in this particular season there no wind (you are in a valley, and this campsite is particularly surrounded) so, in the nights the smoke tends to linger... enough to make it uncomfortable. Imagine the smoke of about 150 - 200 fire rings just staying in the area. Other than that. Perfect.
