It was a large campsite but did not feel crowded. The bathroom were clean and there were plenty close to each campsite. It was the perfect place to bike to any place in Yosemite valley. The Curry Village camp store was close by for any items you need to camping. I would 100% recommend a bike so that you can pretty much leave your car at the campground and dont have to fight for parking. Overall an amazing family vacation.

Wonderful campsite. Very spacious. Clean bathroom. Such a convenient location to a bunch of good hikes!

The reservation website showed 100% occupancy, but there were many empty sites. The ranger at the check-in kiosk said there was nothing they could do. Bottom line is that the Park Service doesnt care as long as they get the camping fees. A better system is needed to ensure that those who want to camp can do so.

It was a peaceful evening each night with minimal sounds from generators. The bus system was a major disappointment to be the point of embarrassment with all the guests from other countries. Why can't we do better?

We were warned ahead of time to bring a shovel because there was snow. That was REALLY HELPFUL!! I was envisioning snow where people pitch a tent, but there was more snow than I expected. There was a lot of snow on the paved pad and we did clear a lot of snow, but we should have cleared more so as to park our trailer further back in the pad. We were able to park our truck next to our trailer, but would have been better off to clear more snow to have more maneuvering room. Had to clear a lot of snow from the picnic table. Also, we discovered that by 2pm, the campground was in full shade and the snow did not melt off as we expected. Temps at Upper Pines were easily 10 degrees colder than at Yosemite Village at all times. Even though the daytime highs were forecast to be in the low 50s, we rarely made it to 40 and spent most of the time in the 30s or lower. We were not able to generate nearly as much from solar as usual and combined with low temps, this had a negative impact on our battery and our ability to run our propane furnace which needs power to run the fan. We have since purchased a portable indoor propane only heater to use in the future when temps are low. (Mr. Heater). Trailer across the way ran a noisy generator a lot of the time but were respectful of quiet hours between 10pm and 6am. Be prepared when camping in fall/winter for cold temps and very very limited amount of sun even on clear days even when weather is good elsewhere in Yosemite Valley.

This time everybody followed all rules at camp sites and RVs used generators, which made a lot of noise, for only minimum time during the day time. It was so quite and perfect vacations. Only one minor complaint was no hot water and no toilet cover at the restroom.

Great campground. Can be a little noisy with people running generators when they arent supposed to. Clean restrooms and very friendly people who work here.

Luckily, we caught a day that had light smoke, and it was a beautiful fall day. The campground was quiet, and the rangers were extremely friendly and welcoming. We have camped in Yosemite for many years, and we have always had a great time. It was so nice to limit the amount of people allowed into the park. This would be a great practice to establish for the future.

Park closed while I was driving into the valley, drove out 6 hours to have to turn around

The campsite was perfect. Nice amount of shade. Not a lot of noise. Squirrels and ravens were a bit annoying, but we were able to shoo them away anytime they got out of control.Camp host, husband and wife, were amazingly friendly and full of information.
