The sites were mostly nice but noisy. I was surprised how little etiquette many other campers showed. Late arrivals, generators at night, doors slamming, car alarms, loud talking etc all after quiet hours. NPS staff were nonexistent and made no effort to moderate bad behavior. I guess it was ok but after a few days of it I was ready to head out to the backcountry. To sum it up I thought the NPS prioritized revenue over respect for the resource.

This campsite is conveniently located near bathroomPro's- Easy Access to bathroom - Easy Access to water - Parking was fine for two cars parked in front of one another. (Tight for a Tacoma and 4Runner) - Site is relatively large - Lots of trees for Hammocks Con's - Really bright at night from bathroom lights - People walk through site to use bathroom (We setup hammocks that helped solve this)

Excellent location to many trailheads, I would camp here again.
Bathroom was near our site #153. No shower. Big Bear boxes in every site. Fire ring and grill in every site. Yosemite in early May was best for the waterfalls, temp gets to lower 40s at night.

**2 STARS** Hard to describe how lovely & serene it is to be camping in Yosemite valley. We hikes to the top of Vernal Falls which was epic. But this is about the campground... Not having any water (no power is understandable) at the campsite is a huge disappointment. The sites are very close to each other & nothing that special. It has no wow or return appeal & I won't be back to that campground. One thing I'd like to note, as a dog lover who brought my dog I found the park to be mostly unfriendly to dogs. They should outwardly just say they really don't want them instead of having a ton of rules about what you are not allowed to do. Here's my easy solution, in one sentence. "Keep your dogs on a 6' leash at all times attached to your hand, period." They are not allow to be attached to anything in the campsite or have a stake in the ground, which leaves only one option. I did find the range to be mostly smug & acted like he was better than us. He never spoke to us about the dogs, simply about bears. I definitely found the rangers to have more passion about busting a person not parking in the exact location of an empty campground then the forest conservation a bit disheartening. Makes you kind of wonder about the motives. So much for my relaxing camping trip.
