The current reservation system creates a frustrating and inefficient camping experience. Because reservations open so far in advance, people feel pressured to grab any site they caneven dates they cant actually usejust to have something. This leads to wasted campsites, as many are willing to eat the low $36/night fee if plans change, while others who genuinely want to visit get shut out.For my recent 5-day trip to Yosemite, I was forced to book a different campsite every night, scrambling to stitch together whatever was available. Each morning, I had to tear down camp, pack everything up, wait for the next site to open, and set it all up againwhile trying to care for my family in the middle of this exhausting shuffle. This isnt a vacationits a logistical grind. It also adds more work for campground hosts and causes confusion and unnecessary conflict between campers due to the constant turnover. This system encourages hoarding, not fairness. To improve it, please consider shortening the booking window to 23 months and slightly increasing reservation fees. These changes would help limit speculative just in case bookings and ensure more sites go to people who actually intend to use them.

Campsites were clean and well managed. An issue with some loud campers was quickly resolved by rangers. Buses were crazy full. Would be helpful if they had riders line up at each stop for faster and fairer loading.

We used a small two person tent when we stayed here. All of the campsites around us were either car or van campers which was okay with us. Relatively quiet spot with restrooms nearby. Limited phone reception for T-Mobile. Campground greeter was great. Would definitely stay here again. Can't wait to go back.

Clean and well kept. Tucked away in what felt like a private nook in the back of the park. All of the rangers were super friendly. Felt like a slice of classic Americana

Such a great time and a gorgeous campground. Didnt realize it was right on the river which was so great. Look - its not backcountry camping. Its a little crowded, there are RVs, but it just makes it feel a little like giant Yosemite summer camp. Cant wait to go back.

We had an incredible 6 nights of camping at upper pines. Only on our last night was there a noise problem with the campsite across from us having 4-5 cars and way more people than the max of 6 allowed and making noise well past 10 PM. The washrooms can do with some upgrades too but were overall clean.

Great experience camping as usual! But it's to incredibly difficult to get a campsite online for Yosemite. They "sell out" within seconds and when I arrive to my campsite, the surrounding campsites are EMPTY! Why does this happen? Are bots stealing the campsites and holding them? Please fix this issue. It's a nightmare that it's so difficult to camp in Yosemite.

We had a good time at this campground. We visited in the winter and it was very peaceful and quiet. I would recommend staying at this campground.
