The campground is very close to the trailheads (Half-Dome and Waterfalls) and you can walk to the Village with coffee shops, etc.

Just amazing. Camping in the valley with the towering granite mountains around you makes life feel so small. Campsite location was perfect. We could hear noises from the two close bathrooms however that subsided around 10pm. More than enough space with this spot to fit everything you need comfortably.

We love Upper Pines. The sites are well spaced, and so many places in the Valley are within walking distance. It is a beautiful, forested campground, and the restrooms are kept clean.

Upper Pines is a fabulous campground in one of the most beautiful places on earth. The camp sites are well appointed, with plenty of space for relaxation and play.

Beautiful campground with large sites. In the morning we watched at the sun gradually lit up the granite mountains. The way its laid out with large centers in the middle of the loops gives a feeling of plenty of space. It's right by the trailheads for Vernal and Nevada Falls and mirror lake. The bathrooms were clean and the volunteer staff were helpful.

Everything was amazing. Good restrooms, great access to park, super friendly rangers. Only downside was that the campers next door left a dog in their trailer that got out. Dog was aggressive and tried to bite me totally unprovoked. The rangers and wildlife team responded fast and were ready to deal with the dog. Don’t know the outcome. Only downside to the trip was the traffic in the valley. Kinda ruined the national park experience. It took us 45 mins to go the last 1/2 mile to camp because of the traffic on south shore drive.
