All the Pines campgrounds are great; this site was a too close to the bathroom so it was bright at night and there were a lot of folks walking through our site.

Great site! Conveniently located next to the restrooms. Spacious but not too much shade. Great for 2 cars or SUVs.

Horrible experience. We camped is a Class C so we either had to walk or use the shuttle. We waited over an hour for the first bus for the green line-which zipped right on by because it was too full to take on even the two of us. Waiting longer, T he next bus stopped, but again was too full to take any passengers. We gave up and went back to our rig. We later used the shuttle twice. Masked are required-unless you get the driver who didnt wear one and didnt care if anyone else did either the two times we were able to get on a bus crammed like sardines. Upper Pines is more of a parking lot with trees. Designed to put as many sites in the space as possible and tent campers can camp pretty much wherever they like. We could easily have a conversation from inside our rig on with campers on both sides as they were less than 8 away if even that far. As others have said, the fires make it hard to breath at night. Yosemite allows too many day users and is so crowded to make it not worth the effort. I shall never return and was highly disappointed in the very poor management of this magnificent park.

Tight spacing between sites, lots of smokey campfires, & loud groups.

Had a great experience at Upper Pines this year due to less people (and crowds). I liked the quietness of the campsite and cleanliness of the restrooms which were not overused. There were no wait times at Curry Village showers. Traffic was amazing as no buses are currently allowed. Overall liked the way Yosemite was not crowded this year.

The bathrooms. The lights on the bathrooms. They are supposed to be on timers. They stayed on all night. They are too bright. They are intrusive and disrupt the outdoors camping experience. Cover the windows in the bathrooms so the lights are not so bright. I hated my camping area.

Wonderful place and with the covid we had a lot of sites to ourselves and it was wonderful for getting great photos and hikes in

Very clean, mostly quiet at night. Very close to river access. The campsite was at 1/2 capacity, would prob be very tight quarters if all sites were in use. Even though there was an active bear in camp I felt pretty safe seeing and hearing the rangers out patrolling and chasing it away. Cant wait to come back again!!!

The layout of the campsites could be improved. The folks in the adjoining site pitched their tent about 10' from our fire pit. They liked that level spot despite it greatly impacting our privacy and enjoyment of the campfire that evening with for of us. The restroom nearby had the normal level (low) of cleaning. Some of the restroom lights for this campground were not functioning. Apparently the folks assigned to that task weren't too concerned because the cleanup folks indicated that those who should be fixing them just weren't despite being aware of the lights being out. If you use the restroom at night and sit a minute too long on the royal throne, the lights just might go out because the time of the sensor is set very short for some of those where the lights were still working. I use a quiet generator for minimal and quick battery charging. One camper had experienced their similar Honda generator being stolen. So they brought a huge and incredibly loud construction site generator and used it to slowly charge their totally discharged older batteries. It would be nice if the park rangers could ban such horridly loud generators. We were about 300 feet away and we and all other campers much closer were greatly and adversely impacted. It literally shook and vibrated my camping trailer and was not a pleasant addition to the campground. The bus serving the campground was way overcrowded and only maybe two folks could get on the bus to use it. This is a problem now that they have eliminated a full half the vehicle lanes for the busses to sole use that are way too few and far apart. We need more instead of less road lanes and an elimination of the bottlenecks that back up the one-lane roads for miles and hours.
